Sessions: Republicans model themselves on the Taliban

Pete Sessions, a Republican from Tennessee, has said that the Congressional Republicans are using a an extreme Islamic terrorist group, the Taliban, as their model for how to behave.  In an interview with Hotline, Sessions described the Republicans' strategy this way:

"Insurgency, we understand perhaps a little bit more because of the Taliban . . . . I'm saying an example of how you go about [sic] is to change a person from their messaging to their operations to their frontline message. And we need to understand that insurgency may be required when the other side, the House leadership, does not follow the same commands, which we entered the game with."

So there you have it.  For eight long and horrible years, they accused Democrats of being terrorist sympathizers, but the minute they're out of power, they simply admit they are modeling themselves on a group of terrorists involved with the 9/11 attacks.

Sessions's backtracking has been funny

I caught his attempts to explain himself on Olbermann.  If this guy were a Democrat, that comment would destroy him in his next election cycle.

As it stands, I'm just going to call him a nitwit and leave it at that.  Republicans keep tipping their hands that they really don't care about Americans so much as their own interests, and I intend to keep letting them.

Bah

This is a failure of our media pundits (From 10PM to 8PM). Again. On Morning Joe, we should have seen at least two people bring up this quote. The President should be talking about it at LEAST once or twice a week. It should come up in the town hall meeting tonight. They are ready and willing to shoot themselves in the foot. Can we please start pointing that out?
