Re: SUSA-Hillary UP in MO, CA, MA, OK

Also the same poll showed Clinton 52% to Obama 41% in New Jersey. I am feeling real good about tomorrow.

man we did the same diary. but I told everyone yesterday that I would believe surveyusa and a host of other pollsters that I trust.

In my diary I link to their record from 2004.

I think the msm is trying to make it into a race, and they're doing a good job.

But tomorrow is Day 1 and she's ready to lead.

Re: SUSA-Hillary UP in MO, CA, MA, OK

Just watch . . . these won't get nearly the play that polls favorable to Obama will get.

that's ok

lower expectations = bigger impact.

some of these pollsters are intentionally bias.

Someone posted yesterday about 1 poll that had 52 women vs 48 men

when every election has been 57+ percent women.

Also, watch the sub-groups in terms of age.

Surveyusa is automated, and they grade themselves.
They can still be wrong, but they are open about and transparent.
Go to their site, you can stay for hours looking at old and new data, and how it is legitimate.

You think you can do that with Zogby? or even gallup?

You have to combine polls with common sense and even then its' still a guess with the m.o.e. on both candidates' scores.

Clinton - Obama 2008.

Let's go.

Re: that's ok

I'm waiting for Zogby to come out with one of his last minute 'corrected' polls so that his earlier 'gut weighted' (read spun against Clinton) polls don't further undermine his credibility.

The poll gives a bump in morale, but I'll wait until the votes come in.

people keep lumping all polls together

yet go to surveyusa and get actually facts, and compare them tomorrow:

for instance:

In mass. they are predicting:

60 percent women clinton +33
40 percent men   obama+20

If every pollster put out this info, then we could check facts, rather than argue back and forth about credibility.  The overall horserace comes from these assumptions. Some pollsters weight their data to what they think will be the voting population, others just sample the first 500 or so.

I trust a pollster who releases all the date.  Remember with 1000 polls at least 50 of them should be way off.
