IIRC Russia had offered to do the reprocessing and send reactor grade fuel back to Iran, but Bush nixed that. The new test of US-Russian relationships will be to see if Obama can renew that offer and the two military superpowers (for Russia is still militarily a superpower albeit an economic basket case) can impose this solution on Iran.
And why do I think Sibelius is going to be a big letdown
I heard on the radio this morning that Sibelius is correcting some "mistakes" in her prior year tax returns. I'm sure that qualifies her for the cabinet. Is Leona Helmsely dead? If not, why don't we see her name mentioned by the Obama team?
Well, after all, Howard Dean was too radical and out of step with everyday Americans. Why he even believed in gay rights and universal health care! Couldn't leave a radical like that around. It might hurt bipartisanship!
Yeah! Yeah! Look at it that way. Tim Kaine is promoting bipartisanship.
Because we don't want the guy who got 51% in California to swamp ten smaller states that have more electoral votes in total.
For constructive suggestions, I'd say regional primaries, far fewer superdelegates (only those running on the coattails this election) and bonus delegates for winning the popular vote. On the latter suggestion, dealing with caucuses is tricky, personally, I'd ban caucuses, but I know that won't fly.
Obama's team are Republicans. That's why policy hasn't changed. He needs to fire them and appoint Democrats. Bi-partisanship is sinking his Presidency. Nice guys finish LAST. Screw them like they screwed us. Go Left Obama! Go Left!
