Did Clinton taut endorsement by anti-gay minister?

This will be a short diary. Much has been made of Obama's attendance at an event also attended by an anti-gay gospel singer.

I've discussed my view on the issue, and how I think it is more complicated than partisans would like to admit. That the core issue for me is that although I didn't like Obama having associated with the gospel singer at this event, so long as he didn't change his stances on gay rights, I could understand the goal of trying to reach out and change people's mind rather than have them change your mind. This was poo-poo'ed by some. I was told Clinton was better on these issues.

So it was interesting to see, this that I link to here about Clinton:

Larry Craig should stay in office...heh heh

I don't see what the fuss is among some Congressional Republicans if Idaho's Wide-Stance Larry Craig stays in office, even though he promised he'd quit by October 1st. After all, his problem is that he simply pleaded guilty to a little civil fol-de-rol in a Minneapolis Airport Men's Room. He didn't sell any secrets to Arab terrorists or anything with war-enhancing consequences.

And having him there is a precious resource for the American Comedy industry. Just think of the time and money it saves David Letterman or Conan O'Brien or Jon Stewart who, ordinarily, would have to go out and research other stories to get us all laughing. Craig's just being there for fifteen more months is like an unexpected tax refund to hundreds of stand-ups at comedy clubs across the country. And think of the plot devices that will turn up on regular dramatic tv shows in the months preceding the next election.

I would, in fact, encourage Craig to stay put...and to make sure he keeps his name in the press as he tries to get his bout with perversity out of the public record. He'll get to continue to stress that he's not gay (that he never has been gay) and show it by voting on all kinds of legislation effecting same-sex adult couples who simply want to get on with their day-to-day lives.

I notice that Democrats are not making many statements about Craig's continued presence in the Senate. Maybe it is too much fun to just sit back and watch.
