I'm in awe of the GOP GOTV machine. It's amazing. The Republicans have a tightly knit and centralized organization. When Karl Rove speaks, GOPers jump. The RNC, from their lair in the Virginia suburbs, control every action of every volunteer, in fact every word that comes out of every Republicans' mouth. This machine is beautiful, it is magnificent, it sweats perfume and gold. One of my friends had a fight with his wife, and the GOP GOTV machine came by with some pie and good advice. But it's not just nice. Don't make the GOP GOTV machine angry or Karl Rove will use his mutant powers to morph into a 1000 foot tall SwiftBoatzilla, and he'll have all the Democratic voters paralyzed on election day by using his control of the Matrix.
As for us? Well, there's no way to say this nicely. Bob Shrum has every Democrat under his spell of incompetence, controlling every single word that any of us utter. You may think your comments are your own, but they are not. You are writing them because Shrum planted a chip in your brain and he wants you to write those words. It's worse than that, actually. Democrats shackle James Bond a little too loosely, and then leave the scene to cackle. We kill our volunteers. We constantly get wedgies from smarter, cooler, bigger kids. We never use deodorant. We just hired Saddam as our new spokesperson. We are the kid that never gets away with it. We've never kissed a girl. We get creepy entreaties for threesomes at Match.com and JDate. Sucks to be us, doesn't it?
Does that help clarify the differences between the two party infrastructures? I hope so.

We have all been asking the DCCC to expand the playing field -- and finally it seems that they they finally did just that!
The DCCC's blog, The Stakeholder, reports that FOUR races in NY have become competitive enough for the DCCC to list them as the newest additions to the 'Red2Blue' list.
The NY-03, NY-19,NY-26, and NY-29
have been made into the new 'Red2Blue' races.

Sue Kelly's getting really indignant about the Page Scandal. There's a whole "Sue Knew" movement in NY-19. People showing up at events with T-shirts with a "Sue Knew" logo.
It's pretty obvious that almost everybody knew.

Yesterday's Washington Post piece by Jonathan Weisman [http://www.washingtonpost.com/...]
carries with it massive implications regarding former Congressman Mark Foley's predatory actions.
It may also be the harbinger of the end of Sue Kelly's political career.
It states, for all intents and purposes, that at least one member of the Page Board (there are only two or three on it at any given time), if not more, knew what Foley was up to more than six years ago! While Jim Kolbe is not seeking re-election, Sue Kelly is. And, depending upon how this plays in the press over the next couple of days, it may even force her to withdraw from the race in NY-19 before November 7th.
The article demonstrates that she is--at the very least--grossly negligent and incompetent. And, perhaps, very much incriminated by this latest revelation (if Kolbe communicated with her at the time). Instead, Sunday, perhaps before she even knew the LA Times piece was out, she called for the public to not pass judgement on Denny Hastert [http://www.midhudsonnews.com/...]
until the Ethics Committee's investigation is concluded. Whether she's right or wrong, as far as she's concerned, the facts NOW do allow the public to pass judgement on her.
