There's Just Something Unnerving About This Newsweek Cover

The latest edition of Newsweek magazine canonizes former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on its cover as a "saint" in American politics, despite no evidence of Palin performing a miracle during her short time on the national stage.

Quite frankly, the Newsweek cover pictured at left is very unnerving.  

If you consider Sarah Palin completely unbearable now, imagine what may happen if being called a "saint" goes to the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee's head.

Brewer joins list of politicians embellishing war records

This week, Gov. Jan Brewer was at the center of yet another firestorm, this one ignited by a story in the Arizona Guardian, which pointed out Brewer had inaccurately claimed her father “died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany.” National media and blogs had plenty to say about Brewer’s comments. In their words:
