Michelle Obama's Gaffe?

The two biggest problems I have with the reactions to Michelle Obama's heartfelt comment about her finally having something to be really proud of this country about is this. We eviscerate candidates and campaigns for their scripted syncopated messages saying we want honesty and real emotions. Then we crucify those who would give it to us. America once again proves that "You can't handle the truth." I would expect the Republicans, pundits, talking heads, and the America; love it or leave it crowd to resort to knee-jerk reactions, but I find it very telling that Democrats and so-called Progressives are joining their ranks in condemning her remarks. The second problem is that it shows how we have allowed the Republican "fear factor" to color our perspective about who we are and what we have become. The same fraudulent media that can swift-boat a decorated war hero into a lying coward while at the same time turning a lying draft-dodging Reservist into a hero strikes fear in the hearts of many.

Does any one see a bigger mouth?

This is hillarious! Michelle Obama opened up her big mouth and managed to put her both feet in right away. She said this is the first time she really feels she's proud of the country now that her husband is running for the President. It is far for me to suggest how Obama supporters should behave but i thought the most sensible thing that Obama supporters should do is to just accept she mis-spoke and moved on. You know what? Many Obama-maniac have been defending her by saying when she became an adult, the Bushes and the clintons were in power so she truly has nothing to be proud of. So now not only their master can do no wrong. Their master's wife can do no wrong as well!

This morning Cindy McCain poked a bit fun at Obama's wife by saying she has been very proud of the U.S. No matter whether you like her husband or not, you realize Cindy is a classy woman and she is undoubtfully gorgeous! And she appears to have a quiet sense of dignity. Whenenver you look at Michelle Obama, you see nothing but big mouth that can hold both her feet. You know what, Obamaniacs have now started attacking McCain for her prescription drug abuse past. That's really where they want to go? Let me cite this post from Politico.com:

Let me see if I get this straight: Obama fans attacking Cindy McCain as a "drug-addict". How stupid is that? Is this an issue you seriously want coming up in the General election? EARTH TO OBAMA'S MINDLESS MINIONS: BARACK OBAMA IS AN ADMITTED FORMER DRUG ADDICT. And not on prescription meds like Cindy McCain but on COCAINE and HEROIN. Are you people really this stupid or are you McCainiacs pretending to be Obamaphiles???

Michelle Obama plays race card again

http://www.breitbart.tv/html/49244.html

"What we have learned over this year is that hope is making a comeback. It is making a comeback. And let me tell you something -- for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment. I've seen people who are hungry to be unified around some basic common issues, and it's made me proud."

This is the 2008 version of racial code.

"hope is making a comeback" = Barack is winning.

She mistakenly spoke the truth by saying "not just" because Barack is winning.

This message is code to blacks to say, if they don't nominate Barack, its' the same old Democratic Party taking blacks for granted.

The message to whites is that "for the first time", I don't think you're a racist nation.  It's clear this is contigent on Barack winning.

For those out there who doubt that this is racial code, give an alternative explanation.

I'm in the black community. I know the racial games that are played each election cycle.   This is shameful in 2008, that such a powerful group would emotionally blackmail voters and politicians into accepting someone so unqualified.

I want any Obama supporter to name a white person who has a chance to do what Obama's has done.  Go throughout history, use a current example, whatever.  Find someone who has a similar story and has the chance to become president.

The closest example I can give is: John Edwards.
He never had a chance.

--------
Also it is offensive that she has not been proud of this country in her adult lifetime.  That is unpatriotric to say the least.  As an African American I will give a list of things any African American or American in general could have been proud of  in the last 40 years: 1968 - 2008.

(no order)

M.l.K. national holiday
put a man on the Moon/space program
defeated communism
number of elected women/minorities in government
advances in medicine/medical technology
great wealth created in U.S. overall
advance of technology in general
rise of people like Oprah, Michael Jordan, Colin Powell, etc.
title IX for women
rise of EPA and other environmental policies

I could go on.  This is the greatest country in the world, ever created.

That's was true before Obama ran, and it will be true whether he wins or loses in whatever way it happens.
