It seems as though we may not be as distant from Apes as some would like us to think. This article indicates that certain species have been observed creating tools and using them to hunt. Even better yet, only the females hunt. Intelligent design anyone? Maybe the divine being decided that his pervious experiment simply failed? Anyone with any thoughts?

While all of the media attention has been sucked up by The Iraq Study Group, flying under the radar is a parallel report on the United States,prepared by a bipartisan group of Iraqi clerics.
"The U.S. Study Group Report," also known as the al-Sadr Report, after the radical Shiite cleric, concludes that the condition of the United States is "grave and deteriorating."
The Report points to a dysfunctional electoral system, an inability to devise coherent immigration or health care programs, and America's disturbing obsession with crass game shows that feature scantily-clad women holding up dollar signs.

On December 13, 2000 we heard two distinctly different speeches. One from Vice-President Al Gore and the other was from President Elect George W. Bush. Both speeches had things in common - they sounded conciliatory, polite and hopeful. In hindsight, that is where all similarities end - one speech had promises which would be kept despite tremendous personal cost, the other was a pack of lies, delivered by a soulless man - the most corrupt individual every to take the Oath of Office.
Now, as we approach the six year anniversary, I wanted to look back at those two speeches - Gore's concession and Bush's acceptance, and see how the compare to the last six years and to explore which promises were kept and which promises were broken.
