In 2004, the United Church of Christ produced a television commercial promoting its inclusive approach to organized faith. The ad showed two nightclub-style bouncers guarding the rope line of a church as they denied entry to a gay male couple, several people of color, and a man in a wheelchair. By contrast, a white family of four had no problems getting through.
"Jesus didn't turn people away" was the ad's tagline, but CBS did, turning down the commercial which was intended for broadcast during that year's Super Bowl. The 30-second spot apparently violated the network's policy of "prohibiting advocacy ads, even ones that carry an 'implicit' endorsement for a side in a public debate."

In fact tell Golf Magazine to fire him also.
This little bug Ferherty has suggested that US military troops would kill Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid if given them chance.
Writing in D Magazine Ferherty offers up this gem, "if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death."

Like many of you, I was shocked with the recent shift in the CBS poll. Obama went from +8 points to even with John McCain in just a few days, the Palin impact!!!

Calling all writers! ABC News, USA Today, CBS News: need a few good pro Obama, on message posts!
These are some sites that could use a couple of pro Obama, on message posts every night.
On some of these sites if you can be one of the first 10 you can be on the same page with the article forever, or just one click away when the user views the oldest posts first. Also remember to recommend other good pro Obama posts!
Many times I see articles and the first 10 or 20 posts are all anti Obama, many slanderous. It would be nice to balance those posts out.
USAToday.com 23.1 million unique visitors a month
ABCNews.com 10.6 million unique visitors each month in 2007
CBSNews.com 9.2 million unique visitors each month 2007
We are supposed to dominate the Web but I think we are all at MSNBC.com or here.
I worry sometimes we are blogging to the converted!
Let's make sure these 40 million people have an opportunity to get the facts on Barack Obama.

I had the courage and the judgment to say I would rather lose a political campaign than lose a war. It seems to me that Obama would rather lose a war in order to win a political campaign.
I just watched both full CBS interviews with McCain and Obama, viewable at CBSnews.com.
Obama credited our troops with reducing violence, but continued to say he would not have supported the surge, given that he had his own proposed strategy which was never put into play. He refused to engage in hypotheticals about what would have happened under his plan.
McCain, beyond making the comment quote above, said multiple times that Senator Obama lacked understanding of the policy issues, and that Obama does not acknowledge the Surge's success. He did engage in the hypotheticals, saying that Obama's strategy (similar to that proposed by the Bipartisan Iraq Study Group) would have led to defeat. Furthermore, McCain repeately pushed the idea that Obama would ignore the conditions on the ground, something that has never been his position (and that he got flak for in the primaries.)
Absolutely classless.Update [2008-7-22 22:7:48 by Falsehood]:
McCain also made a fundamentally wrong assertion regarding history and the Ambar awakening in the same interview. The Huffington Post
has the story.
