This is probably the most ridiculous thing I've heard so far this election cycle. Well, ok, the Kucinich flying saucer thing was pretty ridiculous too. But it does, rather obliquely, raise one question in my head.

Today, as five of the Republican Presidential candidates speak to an audience of Jewish Republicans, Senator Frank Lautenberg has asked these candidates to condemn Ann Coulter's recent comments about Jews.

(RJC) is hosting a Republican presidential candidate forum
, featuring the leading GOP candidates.
At the National Jewish Democratic Council, we're attempting to hold the GOP candidates accountable for a ridiculous double standard. We've issued a challenge
to the Republican candidates to condemn Coulter prior to addressing the RJC on Tuesday.
In addition, we are circulating a petition
to news networks asking them to sop inviting Coulter as a guest.
Where were the voices from the GOP condemning Rush Limbaugh? How about the voices rejecting John McCain's assertion that America is a Christian nation?
Democrats seem to be held accountable by the media anytime a fellow Democrat so much as sneezes. If only Republicans were subject the same degree of accountability ...
