BREAKING: ABC News Reports $100,000 From Rezko That Obama Hasn't Returned/Given Away

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Brian Ross has done it again. This is a KEY line: News organizations have found "Rezko-linked contributions that are more than double what the campaign has publicly acknowledged..." Be sure to watch Nightline tonight:

... "We have returned any money that we know was associated to Mr. Rezko," Obama told Diane Sawyer on Wednesday morning during an appearance on "Good Morning America." ...

The Obama campaign says it has given away more than $85,000 in Rezko-linked contributions since Rezko was indicted on federal fraud and extortion charges in the fall of 2006.

An ABCNews.com review, however, has identified an additional $100,000 in contributions made to Obama from Rezko's associates that have not been returned, including $19,500 in contributions from Rezko's wife and employees of Rezko's business enterprises. The ABCNews.com review includes individuals who have been linked to Rezko in news reports, court documents and public records.

Debunking ABC's Lies

(crossposted on DailyKos)

Wow, wow, wow. I just read a article from ABC News that proves the MSM still bluntly ignores reality. In the article they claim the Democrats are moving "to the left" and it will hurt them. The only problem is America is now a progressive nation as documented by Media Matters/Campaign for America's Future. So really the candidates are just moving with America. Which happens to be rejecting the conservative elite values the MSM loves and embracing progressive values we have long fought for.

First read that horrible article and then I'll debunk it for you. With help from the great Media Matters/Campaign for America's Future report The Progressive Majority: Why a Conservative America Is a Myth, which you can find here

New WP/ABC Poll Shows Clinton With 2 To 1 Lead Over Nearest Democratic Rival

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows Sen. Hillary Clinton has more than a two to one lead over her nearest Democratic challenger Sen. Barack Obama. Clinton has 39% to Obama's 17%. The rest of the field trails with former Sen. John Edwards in third place and former Vice President Al Gore in fourth place. Other potential Democratic candidates are in single digits.

The Seduction of Political Inertia

The topic below was originally posted in my blog the
Intrepid Liberal Journal.

Democratic Party strategists must be salivating. An ABC News-Washington Post survey reports 8 out of 10 Americans favor changing the U.S. mission in Iraq from direct combat to training Iraqi troops and significant majorities prefer withdrawing nearly all troops by 2008. The ABC/WAPO Survey also indicates increased support for diplomatic initiatives with Iran and Syria.

Since the Bush Administration has opted to essentially reject the Iraq Study Group's bipartisan recommendations, Democrats have received an early Christmas present: they can embrace the report to appear responsible and allow Iraq to continue dragging down the Republican Party heading into 2008.

According to the memo, the advertisers insist that "NONE of their commercials air during AIR AMERICA programming."
