An Elite Liberal Condemns Obama's Remarks

I went to a top ten law school and went straight to Skadden Arps, the largest law firm in the world, when I graduated.  I have two graduate degrees.  I'm an anti-Vietnam McGovernite from way back and while I often have to wear a suit to work, my sentiments are firmly with the DFHs.

I've got a venti latte in my hand right now.  And it's good.

After the Florida primary I wrote a diary in which I looked at how the vote broke down along demographic groups - specifically among traditional "swing" voters in that primary - http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/1/30/1013 20/472

We are now many primaries and caucuses ahead, and I wanted to look again at where swing voters are in terms of partisan preference - this time looking at all the states which have voted so far and for which exit polls are available - http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/

Swing Voters-This is the most important poll of this Election year

I believe this is the single most important poll of this Election Season. It's worth a few minutes of your busy day to stop and read this in its entirety. It states very clearly, that large segments of voters are willing to change the status quo this November under defined conditions.

I was invited to participate in a conference call held by USAction.org Thursday, June 29th. For those of you unfamiliar with USAction, they are a non-profit organization that campaigns to strengthen social, economic and health security for all Americans. Recently USAction's Education Fund was selected by Working Assets as one of 50 nonprofits eligible for funding in 2007. They are a legitimate group with a strong commitment to progressive change in this country.
