I do not blame all Christians for his actions, but this man is insane.

The investigators found that Freshwater: Used a high-frequency generator to make the shape of a cross into the arm of eighth-grade students; consistently failed to adhere to established curriculum under the American Content Standards for eighth-grade science and taught religious beliefs in his classroom; exceeded the statutorily imposed limitations of a monitor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and was insubordinate in his deliberate failure to remove all religious articles from his classroom.
Freshwater continues to maintain that the allegations against him are false. His attorney Kelly Hamilton said the charges of improper use of the electrostatic device are from one particular student and asserted that students were never in danger of harm from Freshwater.Freshwater said the marks inflicted on the students' arms were not religious symbols. "They weren't crosses," he said, "They were Xs."
Frank Schaeffer, the son of Francis Schaeffer, one of the founding fathers of the Religious Right movement, has switched over to Obama after supporting McCain's 2000 candidacy and offers some grim advice for his former colleagues:
If the Republicans -- not to mention their bedrock supporters, such as evangelical Christians, neoconservatives and others -- do not grasp the Obama moment, and then rise to the occasion, when it comes to understanding the significance of having the first black American to become an authentic presidential aspirant, they will have doomed themselves to political obscurity and moral opprobrium forever.
In a time where we are seeing more and more evidence that the only hope John McCain has is in destroying Obama, this man, one of our former enemies, has an intriguing message. Let's see what else he has to say:
With the rise of Mike Huckabee to the top of polls in the race for the Republican nomination for president, the pile of candidates rejected by the religious right is a roster of formerly regarded GOP front-runners or political saviors: Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson.
[John McCain's recently acquired Joe-mentum is a joke, and McCain, of the top four Republican candidates, remains the least acceptable to the religious right, as he deviates slightly from being mean-spirited and dogmatic.]
So, will Huckabee sustain his frontrunner status, propped up by the religious right?
Let's hope so, because the religious right has worn out its welcome among the center of American politics.
The right wing of America enjoys winning their victories by attacking those on the left. You've heard their talking points; The lefties want America to be defeated because they hate it. They want soldiers to die because they hate them, and so on. It's the simplistic way the right wing wins, inspire fear and hatred in their base. Those who aren't educated enough about the world to understand it's not so simple after all.
The left does not wish to see America "defeated," and they defenintely don't want to see Islamic fundamentalists win. We're the party who opposes religious fantaticism, Christian, Islam, any religion, we certaintly don't want to see a world governed by Islamic fundamentalism.

First, I find it pretty insulting that this right wing group deemed it's forum "the values voters forum," as if those who disagree don't have any values. Ah, I regress before I begin. Staying focused was never one of my strong points.
This Fred Thompson quote exposes the Republican presidential candidates pandering to religious voters pretty well.
"I would go into the Oval Office and close the door and pray for the wisdom to know what was right, and I would pray for the strength to do what is right."
What is the point of closing the door if your going to tell everyone that you are praying in private (in order to convince primary voters to vote for you)! The point of praying in private is to keep it private!
Or does Mr. Thompson think God is more likely to hear him from the Oval Office? Is there a direct line to God there?
Matthew 6:6 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly".
By Shut thy door I don't think it means tell millions of people you are going to shut the door and pray, then shut the door and pray.
As expected, Mr. Thompson got a huge ovation for his comments from the "values voters." These values voters should take a break from politics and read the book they claim to be following.

The religious right's two-day gathering in D.C. demonstrates the enduring political trouble for the top-tier Republicans running for the GOP presidential nomination.
As reported in the New York Times, the politically significant straw poll taken at the "values voters" conference found three of the top four Republican candidates performing dismally, with Fred D. Thompson at 9.8 percent, Rudy Giuliani finishing second to last with less than two percent of the vote, and Senator John McCain finishing dead-last.
