A timely reminder

This is a pretty lame diary, but the latest xkcd seemed apropos.  Is it an evolutionary bug in our brains that we're inclined to be dicks to people we can't see?  Or is it a feature of the internet that we let loose the flames we have to repress in real life?

Obama Is Not For Change!

Obama is trying to make race an issue in his quest for the White House.
He will do anything to win.
He plays dirty, and will not win.
New York will laugh at him, and people will get sick of him.
Super Tuesday will break him, but he will try to lie his way to some wins.
See through him, and vote for another candidate.
I am,

Empower the People

Not since the very beginnings of our democracy have we had an opportunity, as a people, to come together as we once did in small town hall meetings all across this country to speak with one, deliberative voice.

Our present "representative" party structure -- and I speak of one party structure because both the Democratic and Republican parties operate basically under the same party structured -- has developed as a natural consequence to a population growth that made small, individual town meetings impossible. But now, as Bob Dylan ofttimes laments, "Things have changed". The Internet, if structured correctly, can give "the people" back their voice at their own local party level so they can once again speak with a clear, deliberative voice.

The problem is, party leaders have no interest in using the Internet for this purpose. Allowing party members to communicate with themselves at the netroot level could change the present power matrix within the party itself.  The mere threat of a "possible" change in the party power matrix is enough to stop party leaders from pursuing such a course.

No, if we, the people, want our voices to be heard, as they once were at the local party level, we must pick up the tool of the Internet and get the job done ourselves. Once the people's voice is hear at the local party level, the national party will make the right decision.

Lobbyists vs. People

Hillary Clinton has provoked much derision in some quarters with her statement that "lobbyists are people too."   I perhaps might not have put it quite that way, but she has a point.

Lobbyist are people who work on behalf of various causes, trying to engineer legislation for that cause or causes and to obtain votes for that legislation.

The lobbyists Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Tobacco, the National Rifle Association, and the various so-called Right to Life groups can promptly go to hell, do not pass Go, do not pay $200 as far as I'm concerned.  Continued below the fold....

Issues to Presidential candidates

For which presidential candidate all the human being are same?

Regardless of race, color, religion, culture etc.

Which preseidential care for our history?

Which presidential candidate can create jobs and how?

Which presidential candidate can stop inflation?

Is there any?

Is there any who can care for so called "homeless" and how? What is the policy?

Direct Democracy is our only hope

Before we can hope for change (hope for individual choice on each of the issues that affect our lives) we must personally live and breathe peace.  Only then are we believable.

Foremost in our actions is respect.  Next comes humility.  The underlying strength is always education.

Bill Clinton's Speech for Webb.

I just saw Bill Clintons stump speech for Jim Webb in Virginia, and my God, how I miss that man.
You listen to him talk and its like you're right there with him.
http://www.crooksandliars.com/
HE talked TO us, not DOWN to us.

And to think these people will be praying for forgiveness, for one of their own, who took illegal drugs and had sex with a male prostitute while all the while winning their souls by damning the very things he was himself doing.
Yet, they demonized Bill Clinton for making a human mistake.
Who has the MORALS now?

PLEASE, VOTE TODAY PEOPLE, RID US OF THIS HYPOCRICY!
