see? negatively is a 2-way street! a new kind of politics - yeah right.
From the very same Obama campaign post-debate talking points:
"Continuing the theme of her campaign, Senator Clinton used every single opportunity she had to launch misleading attack after misleading attack against Barack Obama, which is why polls show that most Americans think she's running the most negative campaign and don't believe she's trustworthy."
But on the other hand:
"Barack Obama rejected the politics of division and distraction and spoke about the issues that actually matter in people's lives...."
But on the other, other hand:
"Senator Clinton's false negative attacks on Senator Obama are exactly the kind of say-anything, do-anything politics that the American people are tired of and that have distracted us from solving the problems hardworking families actually face every day."
But on the other, other, other hand:
"Senator Obama wants to end the politics of division and distraction in Washington so we can bring about real change for working Americans."
Hey, Hullo...anybody notice the calender today?

Today, I posted a live link to a live Survey Usa electoral map calculator that I saw that had Obama losing to McCain by 500 electoral votes.
Even though I know the actual numbers, I still did go "oh my" inside when I saw it.
Obviously, those numbers were wrong (as are 98.2 percent of poll numbers imho) and at a glance you could see they were from before the campaign even began. But since the electoral map was still live...and it being April 1, I thought it looked like fun for a prank, hoax and learning lesson all in one.
So I posted the numbers and the link to the SUSA electoral map with no commentary about it whatsoever.
(But I did go on with my friendly pitch for a Unity ticket)
I came back after a spell to see the response to my April fools hoax bit and to fess up and admit to it... and so I wrote that yes, they were old, old numbers - but because they still made one wonder - if only for a second - that this was my entire point!!!
My goodness...then the diary was deleted for having "old poll numbers".
REALLY!?
I thought maybe the 60 different candidate head to head match ups at the electoral map I sent people to might have been a clue...huh, ya think, maybe? (for the math challenged, there now are only 2) So no, there is no longer a chance to make the big dough betting on Intrade on how Barbra Boxer will do competing against Condoleeza Rice this fall for the White House.

But ....the point of the jest was that in the back of our minds...those kind of electoral landslide numbers, 510 to 28.....sound...eh...plausible...
Folks, i's quite simple....
We cant win with a nominee who won't be sure to WIN 2 out of these 3...OH,PA and FL. It Cant be done...
We cant win with a nominee who has NO chance to win in WV, KY, TN, AR...
We cant win with a nominee who may lose NJ. NEW JERSEY!!
The idea that bragging about OR, or high hopes for AK....and maybe, maybe, maybe that VA may go blue ....AINT GONNA DO IT.
-
People are FOOLing themselves...especially the type who seemingly cant even get THE joke on April 1.
If THE MEDIA along with red state open voting primaries and caucuses and these kind of math/irony challenged people do get their way, and make him the nominee, the joke will be on all of us and that won't be one bit funny.

Peter Daou, the Clinton camp's online guru, has not had his genius go unnoticed.
Earlier today, Daou posted this insightful rip on the idiocy of political pundits at the Clinton campaign's blog.
Every word, genius. And he is so right: Political pundits are idiots.
And then this afternoon, we discover Daou has "sent out another e-mail" touting Hillary Clinton's chances by citing... wait for it... a pundit!
This kind of hilarity has not gone unnoticed.
I have it on good authority that Jon Stewart has just now offered Daou a job as a staff writer at The Daily Show !
In a bizarre twist of fate, Bush has apparently decided to covertly endorse Obama. How did he do this? By saying that meeting with leaders of adversial countries "can send the wrong signal." http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la- na-bush29feb29,0,2240873.story
While some might perceive this as a dig at Obama, this is in fact a tacit endorsement, since even someone as out of touch with reality as Bush must understand that, between Iraq and his current 19% approval rating, his criticisms of Obama's proposed foreign policy can only make these policies seem better. Perhaps he could have gone father: "Y'all like Iraq? This Alabama fella won't bring you anything like it."
Were I McCain, I would politely ask the president to stop killing me with kindness.
The American politcal culture has become a part of our European Entertainment industry. In an age in which the best remembered presidential speech has been delivered by fictional president Whitmore on the eve of an imminent alien invasion, I as a European wondered for a long time whether it is time from an outside viewer to weigh in on the Democrats complicated process in picking a presidential nominee. For most of the last months, I switched to tv-shopping channels instead of getting re-involved in American presidential politics.
But this time is over: After waching the dismal performance of Democrats in the face of Bill Maher questioning, and after learning that the GOP is already casting a professional actor, I want to raise the independent viewers voice.
