Open Thread: Would you be happy if HC won it this way?

First, I want to apologize.  This is my first diary at MyDD and I'm somewhat ashamed that it's an open thread.  I wish I could be breaking something substantive like "Rove Indicted."  Not to be.  Such is life.

I'm writing here because I was curious to get input from Clinton supporters.  And, from all appearances, this is place! The following may appear to be a push poll.  Again, I apologize.  I ask you trust my intentions.  It's actually quite difficult for me to fully understand the feelings of many Clinton supporters.  (Just the other day I suggested that Obama may want to look at Sibelius as VP to help coalesce the womens' vote, which was apparently, from the feedback here, a very poor idea.)

Poli Tex is breaking that Hillary is attempting to unseat the delegates from Collin County because they held their convention a day late -- apparently the County couldn't find a large enough venue for the day on which the convention was technically supposed to be held.

Would it bother you if Clinton won this way?  Are there tactics that you would rather Clinton lose than employ in an attempt to win?  Are you 100% behind any procedural moves she can make?  Is there a line, or is all fair in love, war and politics?

Please share.  I'm eager to read your responses.

Buyers Remorse -- Obama delegate in TX will vote for Hillary

I didn't hear the entire conversation but what I heard made me aware of how little I know about all this. On NPR today as I was driving home, an Obama delegate (20 odd year activist in the Democratic party) called in -- and said he could not bring himself to vote for Obama after revelations re. Wright and the Senator's reactions. The NPR host -- wanted to quickly turn away from the caller, but asked why, to which he replied, that Obama had not been vetted enough and that he was surrounded by Reagan Democrats who felt the same way. The host quickly changed the subject with "that just sounds like buyer's remorse", but it was a delegate pledged to Obama!

Do the rules allow such a thing? Is the "delegate math" -- based on "fuzzy logic"?

Rush Limbaugh Explains Why He's Urging Republicans in Texas and Ohio to Vote for Hillary Clinton
Monday, March 03, 2008

This is a rush transcript from "The O'Reilly Factor," February 29, 2008. This copy may not be in its final form and may be updated.

LAURA INGRAHAM, GUEST HOST: In the "Back of the Book" segment tonight: radio talk show giant Rush Limbaugh making waves over Tuesday's vote. He's been urging his Republican listeners in Texas and Ohio to vote for Hillary Clinton next week to keep the battle going within the Democratic Party.

So could Rush Limbaugh really turn out to be Hillary's white knight? I spoke with him just a few hours ago.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

INGRAHAM: Rush, I understand that the Rush Limbaugh audience is mobilizing in Texas for Hillary. Am I hearing that right?

RUSH LIMBAUGH, RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: I don't know if the audience is mobilizing or not. I am urging people -- I am using a phrase -- the Republicans -- our nominee is chosen. It's John McCain.

Texas is open. And I want Hillary to stay in this, Laura. This is too good a soap opera. We need Barack Obama bloodied up politically, and it's obvious that the Republicans are not going to do it and don't have the stomach for it.

As you probably know, we're getting all kinds of memos from the RNC saying not to be critical there. Mark MacKinnon of McCain's campaign says he'll quit if they get critical over Obama.

This is the presidency of the United States you're talking about. I want our party to win. I want the Democrats to lose. They're in the midst of tearing themselves apart right now. It is fascinating to watch, and it's all going to stop if Hillary loses.

Russell Simmons endorses Obama for president
Updated 3h 12m ago

Barack Obama scored a little star power in his corner. Russell Simmons says Obama has his vote.

NEW YORK (AP) -- New York hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons is endorsing Barack Obama for president.
Simmons says he's inspired by the diversity among the Illinois senator's supporters. He says Obama has built an unprecedented national movement of people from all ethnic, racial, political, social and economic backgrounds.

Simmons issued a statement Sunday noting his respect for Obama's chief rival for the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton. He says he has worked with the New York senator on education, prison reform and poverty issues.

But the co-founder of Def Jam Recordings says he's particularly impressed by Obama's support among young people.

Next Gen Dems for Ciro (TX-23)

From the Next Generation Democrats Blog

Ladies and Gents, put your cork back in your champagne bottle, there is still one more election opportunity to pick up a seat this year, and that seat is going to be won by progressive Democrat Ciro Rodriguez (TX-23).

Next Generation Democrats is more than plaeased to endorse Ciro Rodriguez for Congress in 2006.  He is a true progressive candidate who matches up with our Values

Please contribute today to Ciro's campaign so that we can elect a true progressive to Congress and increase our lead in the House.

There has been some concern on the netroots about whether or not Ciro can win this, and I'm relieved to say that he can.  He has graciously accepted help from the DCCC, many of our national stars are down there, and Ciro is on board with the program and doing what it takes to win.
