Sometime back I had signed up for voteboth.com that was created to push Hillary to the VP spot. I along with many Obama supporters believe in the dream ticket and have the deepest regard for Hillary. So having said that_ here is what I received from that mailing list a few days back and thought if they are any here w/ similar/like minded opinions for the dream ticket, you may want take a look at this mailing.
I know this diary will be infested w/ the few Hillary haters who proclaim unity when it suits them or the great talking point heads in here who will bash this idea down. But hey we can't have a perfect party: ) . I just happen to believe we had 2 awesome candidates this time around from our party.
Dear Friend:You and over 35,000 other dream ticket supporters petitioned Barack Obama, urging him to pick Hillary Clinton as his running mate. We've been out there every day, making the case for an Obama-Clinton ticket, writing to the Obama campaign, talking to our friends, and taking our message to the media and blogs.
Now it is time to take the next step--talking to Sen. Obama.
Join me and so many others in recording a video that tells Sen. Obama what an Obama-Clinton ticket means to you.
http://www.voteboth.com/TalkToBarackWe each have personal reasons for why we believe that Hillary and Barack should run together.
I have gotten to know Hillary over the last five years. She is a smart and caring woman who has spent her life fighting to make our country better. She is also the toughest lady I know. Hillary is exactly the person we need on the ticket with Obama.
What does having Hillary on the ticket mean for you? Tell Barack Obama.

As a Clinton supporter, if she loses the nomination, just the offer from Obama would serve to bring me closer to his side. Of course, Clinton may not want to be on a Obama/Clinton ticket, and I can't say I'd blame her. However, Obama's asking will greatly help to unify the party.
I got my ass kicked yesterday for writing short diaries, so I guess I will have to try to be more prolific this time. The main topic of this diary is to evaluate to differences between Obama and Clinton. I am not even going to pretend to be objective, just fair. I propose to divide differences into three categories:
**
I have been reading that it would be wrong to count the votes in the Florida and Michigan primary vote.
The reasons given were that:
* unlike the general, where voting needs to be fair, in the primaries it doesn't have to be fair. Voting in the primaries it a privedge not a right.
* there is no democracy in political parties. They are nothing more than the private clubs of political process.
* voting in the primaries is a privilege not a right.
* people should not blame the DNC and Obama for the mistakes of the state governments in Florida and Michigan.
Well.................................... .....
Does this mean that the Democratic nominee is a unfairly chosen candidate? A candidate picked by the national party bosses and not by the vote of Democrats?
This is the party that stopped a presidential election in 2000 so that all votes could be counted.
Hanging chads. Remember.
The Democrats stopped that process because they said the voice of the people was muted by the Republican party wrong doings in the State of Florida's election process. The mistakes of the state government of Florida. DNC had no problem blaming the Republican party and George Bush for the mistakes of the state government in Florida after the 2000 election.
Ended up as a case in the US Supreme Court if I remember correctly.
This argument makes it sound as if the Democratic nominee isn't chosen by vote but is instead chosen by party bosses. Not flattering to the eventual Democratic nominee. No matter who that is.
Also not flattering is the call for candidates to quit. Makes it sound like the nominee can ONLY win if the other guy drops out.
I kind of like it the other way where it's a fight to the end. At least it would look like the voters actually picked their nominee. Didn't have nominee picked for them.
The fall out that followed George W. Bush into the White House stayed with him through out his entire time in office. The person who would be president will need all the help they can get when they begin their term as president. The last thing they will need is the stigma of being "chosen" not "elected".
I have been a member on Kos for quite some time, and I joined this site to get an alternative (Democratic?) point of view because it is supposed to be the pro-Clinton alternative to Kos. I have been very disappointed to find that the unrelenting Obama bashing here is rivaled only by Fox News.
This doesn't apply to everyone on MyDD, but there is definitely a vocal contingent of people who have crossed the line from advocating for their candidate to unproductively bashing another promising Democrat.
