Jesse: "Obama's talking down to black people."

Faux News is running a captured/live comment by Jesse Jackson, headlining it as "Breaking News," where Jackson makes a statement, on-screen, whispering under his breath to another (unidentified) person prior to going on-camera: "Obama's talking down to black people. I want to cut his nuts off."

Apparently, shortly thereafter, Jesse Jackson issued a statement apologizing for his "crude and hurtful comments."

I'm sure this will be all over the news if it hasn't made it to the top of DKos yet.

UPDATE:

Looks like it's running at the top of MSNBC now.

War is Declared!!!

I CALL OUT FOR WAR AGAINST FOX NEWS.

Now I have been calling for peace and maturity and civility on this website for quite some time. Many others have written moving, thoughtful, and hard headed diaries trying to help Democrats come together and support our nominee. I have felt that some of this has helped, and the dialogue that I have been seeing lately has started to improve. I have also noticed more diaries about issues I really care about. These are good things, even though I still see that some of us are not ready, or perhaps will never be ready to endorse our candidate.

I wanted to point this out because now I want people to dig deep in themselves and bring this hatred that they were/are feeling toward Hillary or Barack or at each other, and point with deadly accuracy that contempt at an enemy that truly deserves your utter loathing and rage. That enemy is fox news. There are at least two stories that have been posted today about this joke of a news channel, please read them now.

Hillary 2.0

(Cross-posted at Clintonistas for Obama)

When William Jefferson Clinton was elected president, I was still a young girl living with parents who were determined (especially my father) to instill in me a love for the Republican Party, and a sneering disdain for Democrats in general. I grew up around Right wing radio and Fox News (first launched in 1996). I was supposed to detest Bill Clinton and scoff at his wife. I remember when Hillary made her infamous "baking cookies" remark and did her amusing impression of Tammy Wynette's accent. I remember because I giggled delightedly and beamed at her - and because my father chastised me immediately. But I liked her, and I couldn't help it - and at the time, I liked Bill even more. When my father asked me who I wanted for president, I told him I wanted "the friendly one," much to his dismay. As the 1992 election results rolled in, I sat directly in front of the TV with an irrepressible grin on my face, while my parents emitted exasperated sighs from the other side of the room.

McCain Camp: ANWR Too Pristine to Drill; Rest of U.S. - Who Cares !

On Fox News Sunday this morning McCain camp surrogate Tom Ridge had this to say about off-shore drilling:

Obama's "Terrorist Fist Jab"?

The method by which politicians (especially Democrats) are smeared are not always obvious. Usually it's in the form of a "news" report, sometimes by reporting on the reports of a rumor that is unfounded. Then, every so often, Fox News makes statements so depressing they're actually kind of funny (don't worry, you only need to watch the first five seconds and there'll be antibiotics after the break):

Fox News Reality Chasm

Sorry for the short diary, but this made me laugh out loud.

Fox news has a hilarious attempt to charge Obama with plagiarism.  They compare one of his recent speeches to a speech of Mario Cuomo's and the two speeches have absolutely nothing in common.  It's political bias at it's very best.

Bombshell Heading toward Michelle Obama tommorrow?

I know this is a poor source, but Fox News and on Fox and Friends is reporting that a letter or a tape of Michelle Obama will be released with something so astonishing that it will change the election. Bob Beckel said the Republicans are prepared to release "something" tommorrow after Hillary suspends her campaign?

Does anybody, anybody know anything about this? I do not want the Democrats to be embarassed!!

If you know anything, please post.
