24 year Navy Veteran & Fighting Dem Eric Massa, who narrowly lost to Rep. Randy Kuhl in New York's 29th district in 2006, will be on Fox's Martha McCallum show today, Dec. 12 in the 1:00 PM hour (EST). Schedules are subject to change.
Last week I saw a partial screening (55 minutes) of one of the best political documentary films I've ever seen, "Taking the Hill". The final product (90 minutes) airs on the Discovery Times Channel this Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 9:00 EST. Discovery Times is available on most digital & satellite cable systems.

It is hard to believe it has been a year since we started this project. It seemed only right to focus as much attention as possible on Veterans since that is the reason I decided to run for office. If my only accomplishment is providing volunteers and/or donations to these worthy causes, I consider it an overwhelming success. As we wrap up the year, take a look back at any one of those in which you may feel moved by and give a little. This is the time of year where each becomes infinitely more important than any one thing we do alone.
Thanks to everyone here in the "netroots" community and the greatest campaign manager that money didn't buy; we all can be happy with our efforts. Thanks for supporting us and sticking with us through the ups and downs.
Hopefully, we can stop spending billions of dollars to elect our representatives and focus that money back on the people who need it.
All of us need to collectively put our heads together and start thinking of ways to capitalize on the momentum. In some races, the money spent was worth it and some it just outright backfired on us. It is not about the money it is about message.
Our campaign is living proof of that:
We raised less than $30,000 but still managed to make Barton run a "re-election" campaign this year.

We forced Barton to update both his campaign website and his House website
We did not have a full time "office" or "paid" staff - it was all done virtually and with volunteers
The numbers above speak for themselves - we chipped away at his base, and then some...
Today (Sunday) I will be touring in the district with General Wesley Clark and tomorrow (Monday) President Bill Clinton and Senator Max Cleland will be here.
While it may be hard to fathom, we are now 48 hours away from our last best chance to save this Nation that we call the United States of America.

This weekend has brought some disturbing news for veterans in the 29th District that directly relates to this issue. It appears that the Acute Psychiatric treatment ward at the Canandaigua VA Hospital, just down the road from Rochester, is slated for closure just after the election. (What interesting timing!) This hospital is already the only center of its kind in the area and, in recent years, has faced dramatic cuts in its other medical services. Now, with the impending loss of in-patient psychiatric treatment services, disabled veterans and their families will be forced to travel to as far away as Buffalo.
If ever there were a case study for why the Democratic model for choosing which races get support DOESN'T WORK, my race is it! I'm sure I don't have to update anyone here on what I mean about our Party's "abandon as many Democrats as possible" strategy for taking back the House, so let me just tell you why I'm winning against Tom Tancredo, and you decide if the absolute absence of support for my race makes any sense.
Four weeks ago, Tom Tancredo had a full slate of appearances outside Colorado. He was going on a book signing tour. He was going to the early Presidential primary states to push his agenda. He was even going around the Country campaigning against incumbent Republican Congressmen.
All that stopped abruptly three weeks ago. Why, you ask?
Well here's the facts. You decide.
