Progressive Democrat Newsletter Issue 177

By all accounts John McCain had a lousy week while Barack Obama was greeted like a star by our troops and by crowds all over the world.

Here is a video from You Tube of Obama meeting the troops in Kuwait. They sure look thrilled with his presence:

Progressive Democrat Newsletter Issue 167

Trying to re-engage on MyDD after some time cutting back on blogging. The back and forth Obama/Kos vs. Clinton/MyDD rivalry reminded me of the world beyond Daily Kos. Since I like both Obama and Clinton (though I have endorsed Obama) I don't feel I need to take sides in this rivalry and would rather interact with both communities. So, I'm back with my weekly newsletter.

One of the highlights of this week was a slapdown of a Texas Republican by a Wisconsin Democrat in the House during a debate over funding the Iraq Quagmire. Check out the video. It is wonderful to watch.

Another wonderful video is Chris Matthews, not someone I generally like, slamming a Republican for making references to Neville Chamberlain without having a clue of the real history. Parroting lame talking points is no longer working for the Republicans. Their gross ignorance is showing and even conservative talk show hosts are getting irritated by it.

Udall Gets Primary Challenge in CO-Sen
