I've heard a few rumblings among folks back in Alabama. They freely admit to watching FOX, though, so not sure that's a good gauge.

The NWO/Black Helicopters/UN Army/Bilderberg/Illuminati/Jewish Banking Overlords crowd have already grabbed this, and made it part of the mythology.

Then, it seeps from there, into the Rush/RedState/TownHall outer rim of the base.

And, simple minds will simply parrot.

Anyone with any smarts know this is almost an unfathomable idea, all you have to do is look at the battles Europe, territorially connected countries have and HAVE had with the Euro.

Who honestly believes that the east, west, north and south are going to even BEGIN to come together on a world currency?

This was a throw down by the Chinese, purely bluster as a reponse to years of the US complaining about them keeping their currency artificially low.

But, as I said, if you believe that the UN is a deep dark conspiracy working on a world government, then this makes perfect sense to you.

You also have to remember, these people are like The End Timers, they predict, and when the events don't happen, they don't even blink or want to discuss why they are always wrong.

I remember absoutely feverent Right Wing Loonies who swore on a stack of Bibles that Bill Clinton was going to declare Martial Law, bring in the UN troops and never leave office.

When he DID leave office, those folks acted like they had never made that claim.

This is more of the same.

Bachmann is an conspiracy crazie, and what the F. are the people in her district thinking sending her BACK to Congress.

As we know, among the rightwing, it doesn't matter if something's a lie or easily debunkable, if it catches on, perception will become reality. My question is is Bachmann's lie about this global currency catching on?

No way.  Bachmann has as much credibility as Joe the Plumber or Rush Limbaugh with the vast majority of the American people, which is the long version to say that she has virtually zero creds on anything outside of the predictable nuttysphere.   Democrats would be wise to expand on the Limbaugh strategy and corner Republicans appearing on TV shows to ask them whether they agree with Bachmann's insane comments.

 The GOP is the gift that keeps on giving with more loony crazies opening their mouths for all the world to see the astounding ignorance up-close and personal than one can shake a stick at.    

Todd you have misplaced Bachmann in the hierarchy. She is the canary in the mine shaft. If she is mouthing it, it has already gained some traction.
