Hey, they're trying to cover the Georgia/Russia situation. Even Fox News had someone on who talked about the conflict, the possible implications of the NATO treaty and how the American public wants to know about it. I'm serious, watch:

Granted, we can't drill our way to energy independence or lower fuel costs, but we can GROW our way to energy independence.

Legalize hemp. Hemp can be made into charcoal to replace coal. Hemp can be made into ethanol, methanol, gas, gasoline and biodiesel. Hemp, planted in April is ready for harvest in August. By December it's in the processing facility. By Christmas or shortly after New Year's it on its way to market.

Hemp fuels can sell for about $0.60 a gallon.

Hybrid electric cars can now be made. GM can equip cars with turbine engines, batteries and super capacitor chargers that can fully charge its batteries in about 5 seconds with the turbine engine. The turbine engine itself can get about 100 mpg, and will burn most any fuel that will burn.

The problem? Congress can't figure what to do about recreational hemp. It's never dawned on them that it could be regulated and taxed like alcohol and tobacco. Recreational hemp is the most benign of any substance. No one has ever died from using it.
