Didn't you get the memo, the media is in the tank for Obama. that's why CBS went out of their way to edit out gaffes made by McCain, that's why studies show Obama gets more airtime, but it's a higher percentage negative than McCain. I mean really, can you imagine the hissy fit that would be occurring if Obama had made a major policy gaffe like McCain's that was edited out?

he'd put this ad up in more markets; instead, he's counting on the media to report about the ad instead of putting money where his mouth is.  If McCain really believed Obama committed a cardinal sin, then he should be willing to put a large media buy and run this bad boy in more than two states.  One of the worst things about this election cycle is that the media is broadcasting ads nationally for free that the candidates themselves are too chicken to put down a reasonable ad buy.

McCain has lost the policy argument on economy,energy,health care, values and foreign policy. He has shown himself to be a fool on all those issues. The only card he has to play is to slime Obama and hope some it sticks with low information voters. A person running such a dirty campaign as McCain is, is not fit to be president.

Because Obama screws up more often that some people (mostly on his side) care to admit.

Does he receive criticism from his advisors? ever?

Or is he surrounded by yes-men?

I wonder sometimes.

Because he would have then taken a hit from McCain for seeing the troops while on a political trip.

I think he and the campaign chose the greater rather than the lesser of the two evils, but they were going to get hit with mud either way.

Obama needs to essentially ignore these chicken $#!t attacks.

McCain the "straight talker" who "eschews attack ads" would have pulled this crap, visit or no.

And you would have criticized Obama, whether he had visited the troops or not.

Yes, no, maybe, who knows...Obama is starting to sound like Kerry at times. I wish Obama would just come out and hit hard against McCain. McCain has changed his positions so many times, yet he's labeling Obama a flip-flopper. McCain voted against the G.I. Bill that Sen. Webb sponsored yet claims Obama doesn't care about the troops. Why can't Obama frame these issues differently and say something like "My opponent only cares about sending troops into war, but he doesn't care about what happens to them when they're done fighting." Stop dodging these questions with a simple smile, stop giving the "uh, uh, uh..." responses, stop beginning each response with "I respect Sen. McCain's service...". Obama has to 1) frame the debate differently, 2) hit back hard, 3) attack McCain for his age and mental fitness to be president. If we don't attack and attack hard, we're going to lose this election.  

By the way, if John McCain is so honorable then why is he running a dishonorable campaign? Don't our actions shed light on our personal character? Obama's campaign needs to scrap this "John McCain is an honorable man..." shit and take a more hard line approach.

that's beside the point.  The point HERE is McCain is blatantly lying in this ad and on the stump.

Obama must express disgust loudly---and do a shame on you John McCain for lying and using troops for political reasons.

Tactful  statements dont resonate to low info voters.

Low info voters need a shell shock--such as Shame on You John McCain!
