General Clark returns

Well, the General will return from his brief respite (or time under the bus depending on your perspective on Bill Burton's press release) from the national media spotlight with an appearance on Morning Joe tomorrow.  Clark is probably the most "unifying" non-HRC VP pick, so it should be interesting to hear what he has to say tomorrow about the "right-wing freak show."  Armando should be jumping up-and-down over at talk left.

He was at Netroots Nation, and he was very well-received.  Rock star greeting even.  Well, not quite as much as Howard Dean, but that is understandable.

General Clark is going to be the next Vice President of the United States. And all the pundits are missing it.

Re: General Clark returns (none / 0)

And why not, eh?  Biden, Clark or Edwards was my guess once Webb emphatically bowed out, with Edwards possibly out of the game now.

Edwards...I don't think so.

Re: General Clark returns (none / 0)

Yeah...  You're probably right.  I read the whole National Enquirer thing on him last year and while not offering any proof it was pretty convincing even then.

Re: General Clark returns (2.00 / 2)

I hope you're right, because as you say, I don't hear his name being mentioned.

He's my first choice, with Senator Clinton second.

But General Clark brings military and executive experience, and a world experience second to none.

Fingers crossed that the Obama camp is fooling everbody....

It seems that the VP list is dwindling. IMO, Clark is still in the running. Edwards is most likely out of the picture because of a rumor on the internet. Dodd has the issue of the "sweetheart deal." How about Biden?

Re: General Clark returns (2.00 / 1)

Biden is someone I like and would be in my top 3.

But Biden's plagerism thing from way back would really hurt Obama who is mostly supported by words some of which have also been shown to be 'borrowed'.

Biden would be a much better VP to someone with a bigger resume.

Re: General Clark returns (none / 0)

That's a very good point, I forgot about that. As a centrist, I also like Biden.

He was pretty good (2.00 / 3)

He had to stress that he wasn't acting as a surrogate, but he was able to effectively explain why Petraeus doesn't get the last word on Iraq in an Obama administration (for reasons that should be obvious, but sadly aren't).

Clark tore apart the McCain shill on Verdict last night.  He has a touch more credibility than most on this issue.

"He has a touch more credibility than most on this issue."

Yes, Wes might have SLIGHTLY more insight into world and military affiars then some McCain party hack....

Believe me, IF Obama is smart enough to pick him, I might Max out to the GE Obama campaign all in one big check....

Re: General Clark returns (none / 0)

Coming on top of Obama's overseas trip and McCain's overpowering attempts to chew his foot, there couldn't be much sweeter icing than to see Clark on the ticket.

Haven't heard the name on the pundits' lists, but he's always topped mine.
