McCain Advisor Attacks Obama Daughters

Martin Eisenstadt, an advisor to John McCain and former Giuliani consultant is apparently as desperate as the McCain Campaign itself. So much so that he has taken to insulting the Obama girls over musicians that they happen to like.

OK, I hope we're not reading too much into this, but in the course of responding to media requests regarding the Jonas Brothers keffiyeh controversy, one of my interns alerted me to a story in the Indian press that revealed that Barack Obama's daughters are big fans of the keffiyeh-wearing Jonas Brothers. All I can say is, "Oy."

Now, I'm not one of those McCain supporters who believes in perpetuating ugly innuendos about Barack Obama's faith or even his middle name. I believe Senator McCain can win in November fair and square. But....

First Meghan McCain wears a few mis-chosen keffiyehs, and next the Obama girls will be spotted wearing Che Guevara t-shirts. At this rate, it may not matter who wins the election: the Jonas Brothers will play the inaugural ball, Miley Cyrus will be showering in the Lincoln bedroom and Chief Justice Roberts will terror-fist bump whoever he swears in over the Koran. Makes me wish for the days when the Beatles were the biggest threat to national security.

Republicans are no longer capable of taking on people their own size. They have to attack someone attending elementary school. Oh wait, some of us were accused of the same thing when we criticized Dan Quayle. Martin, grow up and find someone else to pick on.

whaaaaaaaat (2.00 / 1)

This is a bad joke, right? Right?

If its not, hell, I'm still laughing...at grown men who have to trash grade school children in lieu of making an intelligent point about anything substantial whatsoever.

This is so desperate its horrifyingly amusing. Next up: the Obama girls wear too much pink! What does this mean about an Obama Administration's attitude towards gender stereotypes? Michelle Malkin comments after the break on Fox & Friends!

Re: McCain Advisor Attacks Obama Daughters (2.00 / 3)

Wow, these clowns are on the Hidenburg, and deciding the best thing to do is to light off Roman Candles in the stateroom!

Yeah, let's insult all the kids AND their parents, because McCain has the under 50 vote all locked up, and is fighting for the:

"Get off my damn lawn"

60 year old white curmedgeon vote with these kind of stupidity?

You almost feel sorry for these clueless doofs.

Almost.

Give me a break (none / 0)

This was satire.  The fact that you didn't have a "snark" tag does not speak well for this blog.

Is there an important PUMA diary I need to make room for?

Irrelevant (none / 0)

Just because there are worthless PUMA diaries here doesn't mean that we should post other worthless stuff, too.

keep in mind (2.00 / 2)

Michelle Malkin went on a tirade against Dunkin Donuts for featuring Rachael Ray with a scarf on. There's no such thing as "too ridiculous to be believed" when we're talking about the right's culture warriors.

True enough (none / 0)

This one seems pretty clear-cut as a culture attack, not a personal attack, though.

Re: Give me a break (none / 0)

If you think this was satire you obviously didn't read Marty's other contributions on Jonas, whoever he is. They were all of the same elevated quality as this "satire."

You're right (none / 0)

I didn't read the others.  This particular piece, though, he's taking a shot at American culture.  Notice he goes after McCain's daughter, too.

It's crass and stupid, but it's still within the boundries of satire.

Re: McCain Advisor Attacks Obama Daughters (2.00 / 1)

Are you sure she's actually insulting the girls?

I find her mad ranting too incoherent to follow.  Whatever she's trying to do, I sure hope she's out there front & center for McCain.  This type of loony, paranoid, stereotyping, all-phobic drivel can't really help their campaign.

It's clear that both the Ensign and Sanford marriages were the victims of the increasing number of states approving gay marriage.

Re: McCain Advisor Attacks Obama Daughters (2.00 / 1)

I'm bound to say you have to read some of this stuff on right wing blogs to believe it. I'm the first to admit we have a few fruitcakes on Kos and elsewhere but there are many more people like this Marty who are definitely a few cents short of a dollar. As the light bulb comes on across America about the total incompetence and mendacity of Republicanism they seem to be becoming more strident. I almost wish they could get more exposure because it would reveal what total cranks these people are.

Re: McCain Advisor Attacks Obama Daughters (none / 0)

Funny though, the Beatles, or at least John Lennon, were a bigger 'national security' threat than they seem to give them credit for...  Ever heard this before?  If this ain't the anthem for anti-war civil disobedience I don't know what is.

Wow.  Sounds like some has some very serious generation-gap issues.

"You darn kids!  Get off my lawn!"

"Hey, did I tell you the one about the Rabi, (none / 0)

the Priest and the Colored Boy?"

Oh yeah, this fucking loser would be great fun at a party.  I can just see the gap mouthed stares and hear the glasses falling from limp, did-he-actually-say-that hands...

What a moran.

wait...what?

Eisenstadt is either trying to be funny (2.00 / 1)

(and failing) or saying that we are losing our religious center (or something else unintelligible).

I'd take The Judge from Caddyshack over this fop, at least you can tell he's a buffoon just looking at him...

Re: McCain Advisor Attacks Obama Daughters (none / 0)

There is no Martin Eisenstadt. This is the same guy that did the abrad2345 videos last year. He is a hoax, and I can't tell you what his points really are. Stephen Colbert already does this shtick and much better.
