Obama Blasts McCain as 'Out of Touch and Part of the Washington DCProblem'

Today Obama blasted McCain as completely out of touch with American reality and the current and future problems confronting Americans.

He mentioned McCains belief  that the economic woes were strictly "psychological" and said at least McCain admitted he doesn't know much about the economy.

Obama further said that "I don't know what's worse that McCain doesn't know that he voted against providing contraception for women twice, or doesn't know whether or not women should actually have coverage for birth control if men get federally subsidized viagra".

Finally, Obama said that it shows how "out of touch McCain is with reality' in that he only now seems to realize how social security works when McCain called social security an "absolute disgrace". Obama said "the senator doesn't seem to realize that social security is the most successful elderly anti-poverty program of all time and has always worked the way it does today.  If it's such a disgrace why didn't McCain do anything about it during his many decades in Washington".

In order to combat the legacy press and media which has ignored many normally campaign killing gaffes, Obama has started a new site "McCain'sMediaBase" to expose the real McCain by using his own words on a single web site on issues important to the american people.

None of this actually happened but I wish it would

Re: obama should force (none / 0)

Absolutely.  The fact that McCain can't give a straight answer to the birth control question, let alone even remember his freaking vote, needs to be bashed over and over his head repeatedly.  I'm hoping that Obama actually starts using some of the fodder that McCain is providing on a daily basis.

The weekend talk shows are all set..... (none / 0)

Wait, I was told Obama was "too weak" to hit McCain hard.

This is so great.

This sets the topics for ALL the weekend shows:

1. Americans are just whiners (spoken by a millionaire banker, McCain's financial guru.)

2. The finanicial crisis is all in our heads.

3. Why do you not support birth control coverage

and the TRUE killer (hello Florida!)

4. Social Security is a disgrace.

Did I forget any?  It's hard to step without landing in a McGaffe these days.

Uh... (none / 0)

None of this actually happened but I wish it would.

I think he needs a snark tag or something, because TarHeel is apparently suggesting that Obama has been lax in responding instead.

I'll add snark (none / 0)

I agree obama took a shot at the psychological recession but He still could do something about the viagra  gaffe particularly if they are going after female voters.

I assume he's saving social security gaffe for a september/october TV commercial

Obama needs a thick notebook (2.00 / 1)

Keeping track of all these McCain gaffes probably takes at least a couple full-time campaign workers.

Re: (none / 0)

Right on.

The Big O needs to come out SWINGING.

I am sick of McCain and the Press setting the agenda.

He started out great, reacting right away to all of the attacks on foriegn policy.  But I just don't see him at all right now.

this is so sad (none / 0)

I am about as big a supporter of Obama as you will find on MyDD, but I am so fucking disappointed at how this campaign has let all of these gaffes go by the last week or so with such a weak response. They need to be beating McCain over the head with this shyt 24/7. Think about what the response from the GOP and McCain would be if Obama had made a gaffe on Iraq that was as delusional as McCain's on the economy? The Obama campaign is definitely off to a slow start in the general.
