Rev. Jesse Jackson: ANOTHER troll mole?

I am constantly amazed by the evident existence of an undercover GOP network of sleeper cell moles in the left liberal community.

Latest case on point:  Rev. Jesse Jackson.

"Jackson said at a news conference that he had replied that Obama's speeches can come off as speaking down to black people and that there were other important issues to be addressed in the community, such as unemployment, the mortgage crisis and the number of blacks in prison."

After all, the left blogosphere long ago and unanimously decided that any criticism of Obama is solely attributable to undercover McCainiacs earning their bonus points (redeemable for valuable golf merchandise).  Surely, only someone dedicated to Republican victory in the fall would ever publicly criticize Obama.

As one of those older neo con spineless phony Democrats our party no longer needs, I am nonetheless simply SHOCKED that the Jesse I worked for in '88 was working undercover all along for the Republicans!  Thank God we finally passed the FISA bill (with Obama's vote) - - maybe now we can catch sleeper moles like Jesse before they strike again !

(And, don't get me started about the horrible consequences of a nominee who voted against FISA!  Imagine with horror the consequences if she had been in a position as party leader to persuade 8 or 9 Democratic senators to fillibuster that much needed tool in the war on terror.)

No other explanation? (none / 0)

No possibility that he's voicing certain rumbling discontent in the AA community (as Bob Herbert noted in his column earlier this week)?
'kay.

Obama was criticizing (none / 0)

irresponsible fathers.

Jesse took that personally.

Re: Rev. Jesse Jackson: ANOTHER troll mole? (2.00 / 1)

Jackson does have a valid point, in that Obama doesn't identify himself with the issues raised by Jackson and Sharpton.

I think folks were complaining about how he said he wanted to castrate Obama, literally.

The criticism is reasonable (none / 0)

Stabbing in the crotch is not.

You left out (none / 0)

the "never, never, never, EVER" option.

But seriously, your premise is that Obama is getting zero valid criticism from the netroots. That this might be the FIRST time we all say "hey, Barack, that sucked".

That premise is just flawed...I know a lot of O supporters that were irked with him as far back as "likeable enough". God knows he's been getting a lot of heat lately. Unless your point is more subtle than I can read, you're just not reading the news lately.

BTW, I don't recall Jesse wanting Bill Cosby's gonads. I happen to agree with O on this. Yeah, yeah Obamabot, etc.

Re: Rev. Jesse Jackson: ANOTHER troll mole? (none / 0)

It's obvious Jackson is working with the Obama campaign here.  Obama wants to visibly separate himself from Jesse Jackson to help him appear more mainstream.  It's all a show. Jackson did this on purpose to help Obama.

Really? (none / 0)

Jesse purposely whispered a derogatory remark about Obama off the air, off the record and during commercial break, to theperson next to him, because the Obama campaign knew the mike would pick this up, knew the tech would tell his boss, and knew Fox would then leak that clip to O'Reilly, who would in turn air the comment.  This all went according to the master plan.  Really?

No, I think he's just a wee bit jealous, tho.

He should have known about mikes being open. He was at FaUX noISE  for pete's sake.

And they used his off the cuff (none / 0)

/off the record/off air comments, which they NEVER do to one of their own.  They gave it to O'Reilly to air.  It really shows FOX CANNOT BE TRUSTED, EVER!

Damage done (none / 0)

This incident really has little to do with Obama, it's really about Jackson and an error he made. BTW, Jessie Jackson's son is an idiot, IMO. Jackson Sr may be an opportunist but Jr just stabbed his father in the back which is much worse IMO.
