Is Obama an Enlightened Being?

I realize as a diary this sucks, but it is worth sharing a recent article at www.sfgate.com (the online SF Chronicle).  It speaks for itself.  My response?  I'm buying property in Canada.

OH wait. That's all you write. Hi Republican!

Your candidate and your party are going to get crushed. The GOP has screwed up so badly that they will be irrelevant for a generation or more. It's the least you deserve. Many GOP politicians should be tried for crimes, including but not limited to, treason.

I believe the question you are really asking is:

Is Hillary a Goddess who was attacked by a Black Devil?

The answer is.... (none / 0)

Cool and partly cloudy this morning, highs in the 80's with a chance of showers in the late afternoon.

This guy is a satirist. See his other work.  He's making fun of the SF Bay Area's new-ageishness.

"Wait how were you not banned after this?"  Maybe because we live in a country where speech is a basic right?   A hole.

Re: that article is ridiculous. (2.00 / 2)

It's not a bad thing.
It's an allusion to the Vietnam War era deserters who fled to Canada to avoid the Draft.
When things start going batshit crazy here in the States....folks start saying "I'm moving to Canada!" (I said it when Bush was RE-elected...I was horrified by what 'my fellow Americans' had done).

I like Canada!! ;)

Re: that article is ridiculous. (2.00 / 1)

No, I think it's the other way around, that Canada is some mythical perfect blue-state where Americans can run to get away from the red-state meanies.

Which is weird cause it's not like our government is any great shakes either with Harper at the helm.  It's just a good thing he doesn't have a majority.

true. (2.00 / 1)

but i would argue that the 'conservatives' in canada pale in comparison to their counterparts in the US.  even harper and gang never question pro-life, gay-marriage, guns-control, etc - at least not in a mainstream way...  so while im happy they have a minority govt im not so worried about core ideals being shaken.

also true. (none / 0)

Although, I'm pretty sure they are pro-life, anti-gay-marriage & gun control but keep quiet because mainstream opinion doesn't agree with them.  My biggest fear with a Harper majority is how he would attack Confederation itself and try to turn over as many federal powers to the provinces as possible.
Heh, I guess I shouldn't be hijacking an American political forum to discuss Canadian issues.
