You should do a diary on it.

Peace.

Here is the live blog coverage from (none / 0)

2:00 Gov. Dean just came on. Made a joke "I don't think I'm allowed to list things otherwise I would have listed all 87 counties." Gave shout out to our use of the 50 state strategy and matching the DNC's field organizers. Talked about Obama. Record turnout, 35M people voted for Democratic candidates. Recognized Clinton and her contribution to the primary and her leadership. DNC won't take money from lobbyists and PACs (announced yesterday). Big applause for work on reaching out to everyone. 9% of voters in MT id'd themselves as Republicans. Young voters have doubled, tripled and quadrupled their turnout. Commented on by a couple of people Gov. Dean looks awfully thin. Tying McCain and George Bush together convincingly. BO is real change for America. Howard Dean is knocking McCain down again and again. "America needs to regain the moral highground, which means that Americans do not torture." John McCain running in 2000 wouldn't vote for John McCain running 2008. Big cheers at having another Democrat join Amy Klobuchar in the senate. "If there is a 50 state strategy in the US then there is an 87 county strategy in MN" I hope he wraps this up, 'cause i've got 23 minutes of battery left.  Really working hard at making sure everyone here volunteers.

here it is from http://www.mncampaignreport.com/

  • We want to congratulate Senator Obama, and we want to congratulate Americans on their record turnout.
  • Hillary Clinton inspired millions, and we have not seen the last of Hillary Rodham Clinton.
  • Even Republicans don't like what George Bush and John McCain have done to this country.
  • This has been a hard-fought race, and at times there have been bitterness and disagreements. The time for those disagreements is over.
  • We honor John McCain's service to America, but he has served enough.
  • We need to spend that [Iraq] money in America, on jobs, and schools, and [etc.]
  • The average wage has decreased $1,000 during Bush's presidency.
  • How can McCain run for president when he doesn't even believe children deserve the same healthcare they have in Britain?
  • There is one change McCain has not mentioned. That is that the John McCain of 2000 would not vote for the John McCain of 2008.
  • We want a Democrat to join Amy Klobuchar in the United States Senate.
  • MN has signed up over 5,000 neighborhood volunteers.
  • We're going to make sure Michelle Bachmann goes back to Crawford, TX, too.
  • You can't sit down and negotiate with Israel and Palestine if you don't have moral authority, and Bush has squandered that.
  • We're going to redeem ourselves for the last 8 years, and have a better country and a better world.

and from http://www.mnblue.com/

"The DNC sent organizers to every district in MN," Howard explained. "But if the DFL hadn't sent its own organizing teams into each House district, Tim Walz wouldn't be in the House right now."

"We honor John McCain's service to our country, but he's done enough," he said. "John McCain just figured out that Americans want change. He mentioned it 33 times the other day. He needed to mention that a 34th time and ad that we want real change." He went on to talk about Bush and McCain standing for the status quo, 100 more years in Iraq and finished with this gem: "The John McCain of 2000 wouldn't vote for the John McCain of 2008."

He also talked about the special elections we just won. "We can win these seats in MN if we can win in Louisiana," he said.

"While we have a 50 state strategy for the country, we need a 87 county strategy in MN to win the Senate seat," he said. "Barack Obama isn't going to win this election, you are." He then encouraged all the delegates to door knock in every district. He emphasized that the door-to-door work will guarantee a high turnout and victories in President, Senate and House races.
