I just ain't scared

I just spent the last half hour watching the McCain press conference (er, I mean, um, rally).  He kept stepping on his "that's not change we can believe in" tagline.  I mean stepping all.  over.  it.

Is anyone else just salivating over seeing a McCain-Obama debate?  I honestly think after months of tiring campaigning, McCain is going to look lost on stage, and very, very old.  It could be a real Kennedy-Nixon moment.

I know we've got a lot of work to do.  There's healing within the party, there's Republican dirty tricks to counter, there's the media's adoration of McCain the maverick.  But you know what?  John McCain has had months to get rested and ready.  And tonight, on the main stage, the dude couldn't even read off of the teleprompter convincingly.

Bring it on.  I'm not aiming for a 50+1 election.  Let's redraw the political map for decades to come.

Saw him try.  It was laughable.

Yeah, but that line about "Obama keeps saying it because people know it isn't true..."  Seriously, your message team has months to prep and THAT's what they come up with?

So not scared.

Re: I just ain't scared (none / 0)

McCain was talking to democrats as he knew we all would be tuning in

he was trying to woo some of us away.  nice try.  but no cigar

republicans probably weren't watching his speech, so it was safe for him to go off message a bit
