Recently somebody posted an "Open letter to Linfar," which could only be considered a letter in this digital age. However, whether or not the drivel should have been considered a letter or not is not the point of this diary.
The diarists decries Linfar's sense of honesty and belief that an Obama election is the best thing we can do at this point. They forget the fact that Linfar once supported Hillary. They forget the fact that as Democrats we should ALL want to avoid a McCain Presidency... they probably forget a few other things as well but I'll leave that be.
The central question in their diary is why does Linfar (and others) doubt the purity of their intentions.
The question in my diary is this: Who else, aside from Linfar and myself, doubt the purity of their intentions?
Who else doubts the purity of a persons intentions when they don't contribute to the discussion but rather just badgers us about how terrible Obama is in every way possible?
I will happily admit that he is not the perfect candidate- there is no perfect candidate- but he is my candidate of choice and I want to be respected for that; even when he proves to be imperfect.
Who else doubts the purity of their intentions when they quote No Quarter and other PUMA playgrounds or throw out the same talking points as such pits of trollism?
I for one think this movement is being perpetrated by a bunch of wanna be Republicans who think this is an effective way to sow division. I for one think it is only making us stronger and allowing us to view with open disdain the people who are out to harm our party in the long run.
Anyway, those are my two cents. I am all for discussion and I will be as irritated as everyone else here if (when?) our parties "leadership" caves on FISA.
But more than that I am disgusted by people who harp on his imperfections without willingness to have an informed discussion.
I am irritated at best by people who feign disillusion and disgust simply because he is imperfect. They accused us of seeing him as a savior BUT they are the ones who are so incensed by him being, in point of fact, quite mortal.
So who else is with me on this? Who else wants more informed discussion and less inane bickering? Who else wants a reasoned airing of the issues rather than a trollfest?
... and who else wishes this diary was as entertaining as my effort from the weekend?
