Indiana State Convention and Campaign Update IN-06

I am Barry Welsh amd I am the Democratic Candidate for United States Congress in Indiana's 6th District.   I am also a long time member of the Netroots Nation.

A quick update from the campaign:

We held the Indiana State Democratic Party Convention this past weeekend.

There are reports at most of the great Indiana blogs, including, but not limited too; Blue Indiana which I highlight and link because that page links other fine Indiana blogs and reports.

Our campaign had a good convention.  We were at the hospitality rooms on Friday night and at the caucuses Saturday morning.  I spoke at our congressional district caucus and then at the State Teachers meeting, Young Democrat Caucus, and The UAW.   I don't think there is any video.

We have a serious ground game, and now it is time to get aggressive with fundraising, and we need the help of every good Democrat across the country to allow us to continue to do what we have to do!  ActBlue.

My mom and step-father Karl are north of you in Valparaiso.  Both deeply Democratic folks, and worth noting as examples of the best Indiana has to offer to the party and the state.

It is worth knowing about Rev. Karl Lutze, he's an icon of civil rights (1945 through the present) and not nearly as well-known an Indiana hero as he deserves (imho ;-).

Since we're on the topic of Indiana here (none / 0)

SUSA has Obama ahead 48-47 in Indiana right now. So Mike Pence shouldn't get much of a boost from McCain this year.
