FISA and WAR Funding - Democrats Are Weak!

How can Pelosi and Reid be so weak? Call your Congressman right now! They are about to pass another Bush War Funding bill which includes a FISA provision that will give telecommunications companies immunity from lawsuits. Do the Democrats know that Bush has a 29% approval rating and that only 17% of Americans feel we are on the wrong track?

More to follow as I get more details.

Sigh. I already did... I can't believe they caved on FISA. I just don't understand it.

Bush agreed to bundle the domestic spending with Iraq if the telco bailout was thrown in.

I used to THINK the Bush had so much stuff on the Democrat leadership that he was able to black mail them all the time. Now I am SURE he does. The leadership is complicit - at least the leadership is and maybe most Democrats.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday approved enough new money to wage wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for another year, while abandoning attempts to set deadlines opposed by President George W. Bush for withdrawing American combat troops.

By a vote of 268-155, the House approved the funding for the two wars. Most of the $161.8 billion the Pentagon will get, which is slightly less than Bush requested, will be used to fight in Iraq.
