Thank You Hillary Democrats!

My heart and head both thank the Hillary Democrats who spent the last few months telling pollsters that they wouldn't vote for Obama -- only to switch directly after the primary!

HA ha, John McCain, jokes on you.

Yes, feel free to spend your money trying to woo pro-choice women. Won't work.

Maybe some other Obama supporter wants to care about people lying to the pollsters, but not me!  All's fair in the primary, and it sure made the GOP sweat!

Happily yours,

RisingTide

Re: Thank You Hillary Democrats! (none / 0)

Tina Fey actually said something funny a few days ago ,

she said there was an 80% chance that she would tell pollsters her vote would be for Obama and then turn around on election day only to vote for Mccain.

Of course thats a joke.

Personally I think majority of Hillary supporters especially women would end up voting for Obama , although there would still be a certain percentage who would vote for Mccain.

Thats just my view

1.) Liz Lemon (a character on 30 Rock said that)...not Tina Fey.

2.) Tina Fey is a kick ass committed Democrat; well writtenjokes aside, she will be voting Democrat in November

Re: Thank You Hillary Democrats! (none / 0)

I have to wonder: Is it that people are lying to the pollsters, or are the pollsters lying to us?

I'd rather the former (none / 0)

and as an Edwards supporter, I might have been tempted to lie myself.

Re: I'd rather the former (none / 0)

I'd rather the former too, but I have my doubts. Pollsters have clients. Their clients tend to have specific viewpoints that they seek to have publicized and made part of the "conventional wisdom". I think there is a lot more motivation for them to lie to us, than the other way around.

I don't necessarily think the pollsters just make up results. But it's easy to manipulate the results through the wording of the questions, and creative sampling methodology.

We lie to the pollsters, the pollster lie to us,
so, ultimately, the pollsters tell us the truth.

Re: Thank You Hillary Democrats! (none / 0)

Q: Would you vote for McCain

can be translated two ways. So maybe three weeks ago it sounded like this:

1: Right now, this second, how do you feel about telling BO and his Clinton-bashing blog-buddies to go straight to hell?

Now it sounds more like this:

2: When you are in the voting booth months from now, at the moment it matters, will you betray everything the magnificent Hillary Clinton has worked for her entire life by actually voting against universal health care, reproductive rights & Obama and for McCain?

So people who were saying "yes" to 1 are now saying "no" to 2. No lying. Just framing. The passion of a hotly contested family fight.

There are no Hillary Democrats (none / 0)

or there shouldn't be just as there shouldn't be any Obama democrats. There should only be democrats.
