Super Delegate Count For The Day: Obama 4 - Clinton 0

Today obama netted 4 supers and clinton 0. Clinton got Shuler but a super from VA switched to Obama after he locked up the nomination last night making a a net of 4-0. The floodgates have opened for the official nominee of the democratic party as declared on NBC, ABC, and CBS this morning.

Congrats to Nominee Barack Obama

"Stephanopoulos said despite the race going on “this nomination fight is over,” Obama’s lead “can’t be overcome”"
"Schieffer said the race is “basically” over"
"Russert repeated his Obama-is-the-nominee line"

Virginia's state representative and DNC member Jennifer McClellan has flipped from Clinton to Obama, the AP reports.

Actually, that's not true. (none / 0)

Hillary picked up the endorsement of Heath Shulder today.  Your research is lagging.

That's it, baby; let's go win this election!

Re: Actually, that's not true. (2.00 / 4)

It is spot on. He took one AWAY from her thus a net of 4-0.

Re: Actually, that's not true. (none / 0)

The diarist's research is fine.  McClellan's switch from Clinton erases Shuler.  Net is Obama 4, Clinton 0.  Obama 5, Clinton 1 if it makes you feel any better...

5-1 is less accurate.

5-1 adds two superdelegates that don't exist.

Heath Schuler (Blue Dog) was a crappy quarterback, but a far worse Democrat.

DINO is the best I can say about him.

At least he named his metric and stuck by it.  I can't fault him for promising to vote with his constituency and doing so.

I agree.  He set the carrot, she got it and deserves him as an SD.  I wish that some of the other undecideds would set similiar carrots.

Re: Super Delegate Count For The Day: Obama 4 - Cl (none / 0)

err. It's spelled Shuler.

I'm still a better speller than Heath is Democrat.

Anyways, Mr Shuler betrayed democratic principals on the FISA bill, which is unforgivable.

Re: Super Delegate Count For The Day: Obama 4 - Cl (2.00 / 1)

No fan of Shuler, but he said whoever won his district would win his vote.  Probably because he's a chump who's afraid that either candidate will drag him down, but anyway....

Like the man said, he picked a metric and stuck by it.  He sucks for other reasons, but endorsing Hillary Clinton isn't one of them.

4 (net) Obama SDs means... (none / 0)

Clinton needs 16 more to keep up the pace.

Hillary Received one even from NC today (1.50 / 2)

A wrong, Hillary received a Super D from North Carolina today too.  I know, facts and reality never mattered before.

Re: Hillary Received one even from NC today (none / 0)

Your title is misleading. If the the Yankees pick up a run in the top of the first and the Red Sox score two in the botton, the headline of an article would not say Red Sox lead 1-0. I get your point but your title is misleading at best.

Re: Hillary Received one even from NC today (none / 0)

It's still misleading in that implies that no one endorsed her today.

She picked up Shuler, and lost a Virginia delegate.

What is 1 - 1?

Re: Super Delegate Count For The Day: Obama 4 - Cl (none / 0)

Make that one now officially 4 to 1.
MSNBC is reporting that Indiana Freshman & Congressman Brad Ellsworth (IN 2) is backing the New York Senator Hillary Clinton. She won that District heavily just like Shulers.

Re: Super Delegate Count For The Day: Obama 4 - Cl (none / 0)

Sorry, Ellsworth is from IN 8 not from IN 2.
