Genl. Clark STILL for Hillary

Per Ben Smith of Politico:

Clark spokesman: No Clinton call

A spokesman for General Wes Clark, Erick Mullen, this morning denied reports that the staunch Clinton supporter had called her last night and pushed her to drop out.

"General Clark has been on business travel and certainly did not make any such call to Senator Clinton," Mullen said.

That doesn't mean he is still for her.

I know Clark, he's the kind of guy that hates this part of politics/media, and I could see him denying it just to not further fuel it.

I voted for Obama, because he was better with the strategy.

If clinton had used her resources more effectively, she could have gotten my vote.

Wargamers for Obama!

He is a soldier by trade.

wasn't Edwards a rookie in the Senate 2004.

I would Hillary and Obama are rookies too, except that Obama served in the Illinois Senate before that.

Lets keep it Midwest!

Re: It will be Jim Webb (none / 0)

You are wrong...

Clark has plenty of "political" experiance being a diplomat of sorts throughout a big part of his military life and as the head of NATO forces.

Edwards had at least a FULL term in the Senate.

Hillary a rookie? HA!

McCaskill is a light weight who would be chewed up.

The ONLY ticket that would truly "unite" is Obama and Clinton.

The only people who would more likely vote Obama if Hillary is VP are liberal Democratic women, especially older ones.

Too many people voted for Hillary because she was a a hawk on Israel, not-the-black-guy, not-the-guy-with-terrorist-sounding-name s, the one who wouldn't threaten the establishment, and the person with insider connections.

Not a one of them will necessarily support Hillary with Obama on the ticket.

Some Dems, especially "downscale" voters, value paying dues and loyalty, and need to see a track record.

Re: Genl. Clark STILL for Hillary (2.00 / 1)

And let me reitterate my last statement.

Clark, being a General knows whats it like to "look" after troops.
During hollidays he would accomodate any soldiers from his base without homes or means to get their.

This is in start contrast to the POS John McCain, who was of military royalty, who votes against the GI bill, and accepts torture as an acceptable practice thereby compromising the safety and integrity of our ENTIRE armed forces.

Don't EVER let Republicans convince you we don't support our troops.
Its disgusting what they have done to our military and it's personnel.

Your 'little bird' is and was flat-out wrong.  If I were you, I'd avoid talking to that "little bird" again.  It makes you look like a fool.

that wasn't even the topic of discussion, honey.

So watch what you say, and more importantly, who you be sayin' it to.

The topic was whether the good General was thinking about switching to Obama.

Which he was.

And that, my friend, is something on the down-low.

If you have second thoughts, do you blab them to the person you're thinking about not supporting? I didn't think so!

... is your source on the Hillary campaign?

if it's not, was the question ever asked, "did you ever think about switching?"

Because it is quite possible that Clark discussed it with one person and not with another, before finally concluding it was best to run with the horse he had bet on.

when I said down low, I meant covertly (err... I think I've been reading too many black blogs lately, and their terminology is rubbing off).

If you asked me to tell you who my little bird is -- I couldn't give you any name that you could verify. Some people are much, much more private about their associations than other people (and some people use entirely too many 'code names')

Re: Oh, don't worry, we all know someone or anothe (none / 0)

I wouldn't ask you to reveal your source even if it was possible to 'verify' it.  In the age of the Internet, that's too risky.

While I respect that you are reporting what someone told you, I'm telling you that your source was just wrong.

I'm not even saying that your source may not believe that's what 'they heard'.

But they heard it wrong or implied something from the conversation that was never true.  It happens. People often take aways something from a conversation that they wanted to hear -- or thought they wanted to hear.
