Re: RBC Thread (1.33 / 3)

Why do I have the feeling that once again the DNC has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. We have only ourselves to blame for the crazy quilt patchwork method of selecting nominees.
I would hope that the party big shots will learn from this but I have my doubts, after all their Democrats.

Track Record (none / 0)

Speaks for itself. 12 years of Reagan/Bush the Smarter. 8 years of sanity. 8 years of Bush the lesser.

Works for me, Herbert.

Re: RBC Thread (none / 0)

Inspiring words from Dean about the turnout.  If we can get even 75% of the democrats together (I'm hoping for much much more), the general will be a landslide.

Obama's Favorability (none / 0)

from Rasmussen, minutes ago:

Obama's numbers are 45% favorable and 53% unfavorable (see recent daily ratings). Those figures represent Obama's lowest ratings of the year. His favorability ratings peaked at 56% in mid-February. Twenty-five percent (25%) have a Very Favorable opinion of Obama while 37% have a Very Unfavorable view.

I hope the members are aware of this.

Re: Obama's Favorability (2.00 / 1)

I'm sure the rules committee is going to decide based on one day's result in a tracking poll in May.

But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.

Careful!

Humor, and that was funnny, is not generally appreciated by Obama fans.

Re: RBC Thread (none / 0)

Howard Dean is rocking the house with "5 intellectually bankrupt Supreme Court justices."

I also love his story about Al Gore saying "It's not about you, it's about your country."  I'll try to remember that when I figure out how to vote in November.

Re: RBC Thread (none / 0)

Process more important than counting the votes...bleah. We're pissed because you didn't listen!

How does that compute with the FL state legislature being dominated by ReThugs who were the ones who engineered the moving of the primary....

'Hi, I'm a Democat....that means I let the ReThugs fuck with me whenever they like.'

What horseshit.

Sen. Nelson (none / 0)

It seems pretty dishonest for Sen Nelson to go on and on about how voters were told that their vote wouldn't count, and then basically hand-wave away the idea that some voters may not have voted because of it.

It's not an argument that sways me one way or the other, but it still seems like it would be fair for him to acknowledge that.  After all, for as many voters as did turn out, Florida still falls well behind the turnout (%-wise) of other states.  No matter how you look at it, a lot of people stayed home.
