66 Delegates To Go!

The resolution increased the number of delegates needed to clinch the nomination to 2,118, leaving Obama 66 delegates short but still within striking distance after the three final primaries are held in the next three days.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080531/ap_o n_el_pr/primary_scramble

There are about 290 delegates left.  Clinton needs over 200 to reach that number.

In short Barack Obama needs about 20% of the remaining delegates while Clinton needs over 80%.

How many supers do you think are ready to declare on Wednesday morning?

He will win it Tuesday (none / 0)

He will score enough SD's on Monday so that Montana will win it for him on Tuesday.

I suspect so (none / 0)

He'll want pledged delegates to be the finish line crosser.

I bet he's within less than 10 by Tuesday.

you are right.

The voters make this decision not the supers

If I had to make a prediction right now, I'd say Barack Obama is going to be the next president.

That is DCW's number, and they are pretty good about accountability, so I'd trust them

Re: 66 Delegates To Go! (none / 0)

Be careful with these diaries.  Clinton supporters are upset as it is, and they're going to see this as gloating.

Re: 66 Delegates To Go! (none / 0)

These are facts that are being stated.

There is no gloating or opinion.  Just facts

Re: 66 Delegates To Go! (none / 0)

Predicting the Pledge Delegates in Puerto Rico,Montana, and South Dakota. Hillary will net gain a total of 10 Delegates based on a landslide win in Puerto Rico.

Including the Pledge Delegates and the committed super delegates.
Obama will get 2103.5 Delegates. 15-20 Delegates short of getting the nomination.

by nkpolitics on Sat May 31, 2008 at 09:49:05 PM EST

Obama needs about 22 more Super Delegates (none / 0)

IMHO Obama will win at least 42 pledged delegates in the three primaries coming up. That leaves only 22 more Super Delegates to reach the magic 2,118 using the tally at D-Kos.
