Robert Wexler for Obama's VP

Short diary but Wexler made Ickes look like a tool during his questioning.  According to  MSNBC Ickes stormed out after Wexler responded.

Obama's representatives are framing it as conciliation for party unity, hillary's representatives are framing it as what helps her the most.

If someone finds the youtube of the Wexler/Ickes exchange let me know.

Re: Robert Wexler for Obama's VP (none / 0)

Maybe somebody can ask Ickes what the "principle of self-reflection," or whatever, is.  It sounds like a self-help book.

Wexler (2.00 / 1)

told Ickes "please educate me" upon which Ickes couldn't even respond despite other committee members asking him to.

not a good moment for ickes

According to MSNBO? (1.75 / 4)

Well, that certainly tells a lot...certainly enough for BO supporters to declare BO a saint for "bringing this party together."

I.  Don't.  Think.  So.

Re: According to MSNBO? (none / 0)

That he left the room afterwards is a matter of fact.

Do you care that Ickes voted to strip FL & MI of 100% of their delegates?

Re: According to MSNBO? (2.00 / 1)

Regardless of whether you think of Obama's position as genuine or not, he is willing to compromise, as are all the FL and MI parties.

The only people unwilling to compromise are the Clinton supporters on the RBC that are making intellectually dishonest arguments in support of their candidate. That is not their job as members of the RBC. It is inappropriate for them to be representing their candidates in that way.

Wow, you listened to one supporter and made that crack.

Perhaps you could use a principle of self-reflection?

yes he did (2.00 / 1)

Re: Robert Wexler for Obama's VP (2.00 / 2)

Wexler's argument may have been good, but his way of presenting it wasn't -- he was raising his voice, seemed confrontational, etc.

Re: Robert Wexler for Obama's VP (2.00 / 1)

I would say he seemed passionate, not confrontational

No more than the lady before him, I thought. They were both passionate, I didn't have a problem with it.

Re: Robert Wexler for Obama's VP (none / 0)

I would agree with this.  The issues and allegations being thrown around here make it inappropriate for a passionless presentation.  Obama's position needed to be presented forcefully.

Re: Robert Wexler for Obama's VP (none / 0)

Wexler is the type of person who will drive the party forward.
He is forward, on point and  passsionate.
He is a fighter.

He won't be V.P but he will be the next senator from Florida.

Mark my words.

Ickes is a tool. He voted to strip 100% (none / 0)

of FL & MI and then acts like it's wrong and that he's not culpable.

Cocaine AND prostitutes.  I laughed my ass off when I watched that.  It was an absolute riot.  Probably won't do much for long-term political aspirations but he made a good impression on me, a guy willing to have a little fun, not a stuffed shirt, just a real person.
