DNC: Fractured Fairy Tales

I wanted to quickly share with you an amazing video. It was created by IndyRobin and GeekLove.

About the video, IndyRobin sent me this:

I began to think about this video as it slowly dawned on me that Hillary had been robbed in Florida and Michigan. It is my true belief that Donna Brazile and Howard Dean purposely stripped these states of their delegates to deal a lethal blow to Hillary's campaign. Other states had moved their primaries with no punishment at all. Why would they give the death penalty to Florida and Michigan for jaywalking? I called up the best tech person in the world (GeekLove) and once again we began the process of trying to make people aware of a travesty occurring in this historic campaign. I called it "Fractured Fairy Tales" as a snark to all those "journalists" who furthered the notion that Bill Clinton was a racist.

Our first video "Mad as Hell" was featured this week on Nightline and I could not have been more proud. My intended purpose for "Mad as Hell" was to shine a light on the toxic sexism that has been leveled at Hillary, and I hope it reached that goal. Thanks to all who helped make it a great success.

Also, a special thank you to GeekLove for all her help, dedication and support.

This video couldn't be more timely (for the eye-opening Donna Brazile footage alone). Pass it around and spread the word...the DNC meeting is right around the corner.

Obviously wasn't paying attention to who, exactly, was sitting on the rules committee and voted in favor of stripping the delegates.

Re: DNC: Fractured Fairy Tales (2.00 / 1)

Obama's campaign consultant said of him "He wondered if we should knock everybody off the ballot. How would that look?"  Especially since Alice Palmer, by any objective measure was the clear favorite.

The fact that he even uttered regret, though fleeting, doesn't reflect completely negatively on his character.  However, comprehending what he was doing, he went ahead and followed through anyway.  So to answer Obama's question of how it looks -- It looks BAD.

Spin it anyway you'd like, the pattern is clear:

1996 - Chicago 13th District: Challenge the Vote
2008 - Florida Primary: Challenge the Vote
2008 - Michigan Primary: Challenge the Vote

Did he violate any rules? No. In fact, in all examples you cite, he was following the rules. To the letter. Could he have bent the rules? Sure. But I don't see how that is inherently morally superior.

Re: DNC: Fractured Fairy Tales (none / 0)

ya know..
Why do people believe McCain is a FL shoo-in?
recent polls show it close

...and if we lose FL?
We pick it up out west..and in IA..and in VA. etc.
Look at the updated Obama electoral map on the front page.

as for "The Dem "Leadership" Sen. Clinton had a 100+ super delegate(ya know the leaders) lead before December 2007.

etc...etc...etc...

Re: DNC: Fractured Fairy Tales (none / 0)

Gore v Bush 2000. It is unbelievable to me that all these so-called liberal progressives are advocating voter disenfranchisement. What the h*ll is wrong with our Party?

I didn't think it was possible for me to be more disgusted and to hate a politician more than I do GW. Congratulations Sen. Obama -- you disgust me more than the worst President in American history. A year ago I didn't think that it was remotely possible...and, I loved your candidacy at first. But, your tactics are reprehenisble and I'll never forgive you for what you've done to former Pres. Clinton and Sen. Clinton and the 17+ million people who support her. You, BO, are a narcissistic bully and you'll never get my vote. But, you don't care, because I'm just one of those typical white people who have been voting and fighting for civil rights, equal rights and economic equality for 30 years. What is it that your supporters say, "We don't need those old people, they'll be dead soon anyway."

I'm only 48, but to an 18 year old I guess that puts me on my last leg.
