Looking forward... (2.00 / 1)

...to the rest of your travel guide, seriously there is probably a void in the market for snarky travel guides.  I grew up in the City of St. Louis but the only attempted mugging I've endured was in one of the safest cities on the planet, Toronto.  The guy had a knife, but was VERY drunk and I was a faster runner.  I'm leaving tomorrow for New Orleans, wish me luck!

BTW - St. Louis thin crust pizza rules!

LOL, excellent. (2.00 / 1)

This series is full of awesomeness.

By the way, I don't know whether it's my state, city, or region, but we call soda "Coke", too. And it doesn't matter what kind of soda it is, either. One time, my friend ordered a "coke" at a TCBY, and the woman at the counter asked, "What flavor?" At which point my friend specified, "Dr. Pepper."

No joke.

It is a southern thing (none / 0)

Or at least that's what I figure based on my FFA national convention experience.

Re: Missouri the epicenter of crime (part 2 of a 5 (2.00 / 1)

A few thoughts:

#1: I've missed part 1 (of 50!...ambitious!), and must seek it out.

#2: How could you have possibly forgotten to mention the God-awful humidity?!?!

#3: Note to Cardinals fans: NO!  You do not look sharp in your red polo.  Buy a jersey and/or t-shirt.  Or, if you're fat, go shirtless.  It's only because you know a lot about baseball that I forgive you these things.

Two things (none / 0)

I am from MN  so the humidity in MO wasn't too bad.

Re: Missouri (2.00 / 1)

Population of Missouri from Wikipedia: 5,878,415
At one mugging per person every three days, that works out to 715,207,158 muggings per year. That's a lot of muggings!
Your attempt to change the subject to "the issues" is irrelevant.

And that doesn't account for out of state folks (none / 0)

but it is real evidence I have to go on.  I actually did get mugged in StL in the 3 days I was there.

Yes it does (none / 0)

Though I am more of a fan of New Orleans jazz (pre-Katrina).
