screw the voters hillary, the media wants you out!

not that dan abrams is the bastion of objectivity in this primary, but he has been one of the few voices that have been calling out the media in its bias against HRC.

check out this segment on last night's verdict, talking about the pile-on HRC and the media bias even after she won PA.

my favourite parts are:

1.  dan gives roy sekoff and the huffpo/media a smackdown for its  - lack of 'intellectual honesty' (you can hear dan laughing as roy stumbles to claim huffpo objectivity)

2.  dan says that in the media anything bad for BO is called a victory for JM

3.  dan asks if the gop nc ad is HRC's fault

The voters want Obama though. He has a half million lead in the popular vote and will get back to his 700k lead on May 6th.

I'm her surrogate/fellow Canadian and I and a lot of others live here and as dual citizens we vote. BTW - Los Angeles is the third largest "Canadian" city. There's a lot of us here.

yes (none / 0)

if you pretend the people in FL and MI didn't vote despite the record turn out.

Hillary has the popular vote and will continue to add to those numbers.  More people prefer her.

Re: screw the voters hillary, the media (none / 0)

the msm wants her in the race, im not sure what your talking about. they love this shit...in fact they are one of the main things keeping hillary in it, because essentially she is no closer to the nomination than she was before PA.

screw the voters hillary, the media wants you out! (2.00 / 1)

Biased reporters may want to give Clinton the ax, but the media can't get enough of this drama.

the media wants you (2.00 / 3)

they don't mean it, this is the easiest cheapest programming they've ever been handed. And the party ought not want it to end either, it's totally free publicity. Barack should be glad to debate, more free stuff, and get his plans out there.  She's been using it to sell her agenda from the beginning, when she's elected we'll all know just what she'll do and how she'll do it. This is manna, enjoy.

Re: screw the voters hillary, the media wants you (none / 0)

Why would the media want that? They love this contest, the closer the better. And if you havn't been watching the last few days they have essentially co-opted all the Clinton campaign talking points. What's wrong with Barack Obama, why can't he close the deal, why won't white people vote for him, and on and on and on. Just today Rachel Maddow had the temerity to call out the other pundits on MSNBC as they continued the assault on Barack Obama by saying she felt as if she was living in a different universe because if you look at the exit polls Barack did better, not worse, among white men. He did better, not worse, among older voters. He did better, not worse, among lower income voters. Sure he still lost but the trend line is going in the right direction. She was poo poo'd and told yes, she was living in a different universe.

um do you watch tv, read papers, go on the internet?  if so - i find it hard to believe you believe the media has been fair to HRC.  did you watch the clip?

Re: screw the voters hillary, the media wants you (none / 0)

Since I was talking about an event just a few hours ago on MSNBC yes, I watch tv. And in the local paper here today there was a very nice pro-hillary piece on the front page above the fold. I'll leave you to decide if I go on the internet or not. I'm not saying she hasn't had some rough treatment but by and large the coverage of the last few days has been very anti obama in my opinion.

Re: screw the voters hillary, the media wants you (2.00 / 1)

point taken.  and yes - i have seen a bit of a swing in the coverage (on msnbc anyway) for BO - but this is not really a contest of worse coverage, rather an indictment on how the press has been treating HRC.  thanks for your comment though!

Re: screw the voters hillary, the media wants you (none / 0)

I think that the media was negative towards Hillary when she was the frontrunner.  Now that she's not they are hitting Obama real hard--just like the last debate where he was asked about Weather Underground, flag pins, Wright, etc.

Re: screw the voters hillary, the media wants you (none / 0)

um - i would disagree.  i think the coverage has been negative from the beginning until now.  the only difference is the some in the media have been harsher on BO in the last few days.

Re: screw the voters hillary, the media wants you (none / 0)

I don't deny that Hillary has been under some bright lights from the media.  It kind of comes with the territory of being the ex-First Lady, being on the tip of people's tongues when asked who will run for president next cycle, and being the early favorite to win the Dem nomination.  I think it is an dubious point, however, that recent media coverage has been more negative towards Hillary than Obama though.  I mean he has been hit with Wright, bittergate, Ayers, bowling, flag pins, etc.  What did the media say about her other than that she lied about snipers?  Its been rather one sided against Obama lately from my perspective, though I agree Hillary had it rough early on.
