The "Moderate Maverick" Report Card

Just in case you all forgot (in the carnage that continues to be the Democratic Nomination battle) . . . John McCain is our opponent in the General Election. I am having a little bit of primary fatigue, so I decided to work on a diary that should motivate ALL of us!

I don't know who will be nominated at the Democratic National Convention, but they will have my vote. It is really a simple decision for a life-long Democrat such as myself. I do empathize with Independents & Republicans that have joined our ranks recently, and hold them no ill-will for returning to their original alignment. I understand that not all MyDDers are as loyal to the Democratic Party as others, but for those of you that are on the fence . . . please read John McCain's report card:

Education


Environment


Children's Issues


Darfur


Health Care


Labor Issues


Senior Citizen Issues


Disabled Veterans


Women's Rights



This list is just a sampling to illustrate that John McCain is not a "Moderate Maverick" like he wants you to believe. In fact . . . Senator McCain scored an 84 out of 100 on Conservative Issues, according to the Republican Liberty Caucus. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama can proudly claim that they fought against these Republican policies, as they scored 28 and 25 respectively.

Please consider passing this diary on to your friends on the fence, and I highly recommend that you click on all the issue links above to see just how much better BOTH Democrats are at representing our beliefs compared to McCain.


I guess McCain is used to bad grades, as he graduated 894th out of 899.

Good post but not Rec'd.  You need to take the additional step to explain why the Dem party is so polarized.  You need to explain why the core of the party supports Hillary; i.e. Seniors, Women (Emily's List, NOW), Blue Collar Workers (and even Latte drinkers like me).  
Obama has a significant but fractional support of the Dem party.  He is relying on Reagan Dems and Independents.  The "Uniter's" campaing needs to explain how he will get Hillary's vote in the GE.  Hillary has already explained how she will get Barack's vote.

That is a great discussion, but for another diary.

This diary is a simple exposition of the GOP candidate that will lose  to either DEM in the GE.

Feel free to start a diary to your points that can use some calm discussion.
