Obama campaign caught in a blatant lie (with link)

I wonder if the networks will drum this story up as they drummed up the Bosnia story (but I think that they will not). Anyways, Politico seems to have dug up the questionnaire which the campaign said had not been ``seen'' by Senator Obama and it turns out that not only he saw it, he also wrote on the questionnaire. Furthermore, he actually had an interview about the questionnaire. Here is the link-
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/030 8/9269.html.

Actually, on reading the answers that the Senator gave way back in 1996, I like him better in 1996 than in his current incarnation. But I guess somewhere along the way, he seems to have turned more conservative for my tastes.

There was (at least) one diary on this yesterday.

Well, I saw the story today. (none / 0)

So what is wrong with several diaries on the same subject. I see multiple diaries posted on the same subject. And I do not constantly monitor MYDD.

Actually I LIKE mutliple diaries (none / 0)

on the same subject, because on busy days the diaries move down the list and disappear off the end rather too quickly.

Re: Actually I LIKE mutliple diaries (none / 0)

I agree -- I miss stuff

And I wish there was a way for the better non-recommended diaries, but still ones with lots of comments, to stay up longer.

BTW, Jake Tapper concurs that Obama is fabricating when he says he does not take any $$ from the oil industry.  http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/ 2008/04/obamas-oil-slic.html  This general question was the subject of a diary the other day.

Great sentiments then, by your reasoning there should only have been one Tuzla diary!

Hell's bells, even the GOP didn't have to crucify Eisenhower's record in order to make Reagan their 'saint'. We can have two great ones, you know?

Also, if you want to look at actions, instead of words, Obama was rated the most liberal senator in the US Senate.

by mefck on Tue Apr 01, 2008 at 09:03:36 AM EST

I am confused about this argument (none / 0)

Let us say that the Senator Obama is more liberal than he says on the campaign trail. Does that mean he is lying to the American people and intends to govern differently from what he is telling to the Americans? Or is he actually not lying but does intend to govern more conservatively than I would prefer? So which option do you choose?

Ah yes, my child, and now you haveq (2.00 / 1)

finally understood the message:  "The Audacity of Hope" means that you can be all things to all people, a "blank slate on which people project their hopes and dreams" <- Obama himself said that.

Like with any other scam, you just have to stay one step ahead of the sheriff.

The point is inconsistencies (2.00 / 1)

Obama says different things to different audiences.  And some people are catching on, like the gay community.  Here's an article in Queerty about Obama's "other" preacher problem.  http://www.queerty.com/more-preacher-pro bs-for-obama-20080324/  I read a similar one on another gay blog yesterday but can't find it right now.

Here's the other article (2.00 / 1)

http://www.gaywired.com/article.cfm?sect ion=163&id=18614  In it the writer traces a long story of Meeks' divisive rhetoric.

I will also note that the gay magazine of the Washington DC Metro area, the Washington Blade, endorsed Hillary.

God... (none / 0)

If Obama is too centrist for your test what must you think of HRC...

Thanks, ann0n.  Here's the link to my diary on this yesterday.

Besides the lie, the story provides substantial evidence that Obama tailors his positions to his target audience, and then denies it.
