So this is how it ends...

...not with a debate, not with Rev Wright, not with Rezko...but with a 37 game in bowling.

From Wonkette:

Barack Obama did some serious damage to his credibility with working-class white voters this weekend when he proved that he is a total spastic failure at bowling. He and fellow pantywaist Senator Bob Casey bowled worse than two girls with no arms, leaving no doubt in the minds of many voters that he is out of touch with the concerns of regular hard-working Americans.

Look, a 37 is simply pathetic. To do worse than that, you would literally have to aim for the gutter every time. With minimal experience (just a few pointers from mom) I was able to break 100 regularly at age 9. Its not that hard. Looking at his form, its obvious that Obama has never been in a bowling alley in his life.

Here's video:

A quick diagnoses of the problem points to very weak wrist action...a recipe for disaster. If I were there, I would have advised him to hold his wrist rock steady and simply take dead aim at the middle pin. He could have gotten at least 75 that way.

OK, so at the surface this appears to be a small issue. But its clear that Obama was simply out of his league here in an attempt to "relate to the common man". A common man does not roll a 37. An elitist politician pandering to the common man rolls a 37.

Hillary knows this, and has challenged Obama to a bowl-off to decide the race.

"It's time for his campaign to get out of the gutter. For all the pins to be counted... And when this game is over the American people will know they'll have a president who's ready to bowl on day one."

I'm not sure it would be wise for Barack to take her up on this offer. I'm sure she got a lot of practice in at the White House bowling alley. We sure know Nixon did...

No kidding! (2.00 / 1)

I'd bring the popcorn!

And, needless to say, I like Hillary's odds.

My 6 year old daughter bowls better than Obama. What a horrible display of coordination.

He looks like a bowler.  I think he has potentiial.  With a little practice I think he could take Hillary in PA.

7 frames (none / 0)

It wasn't a full game, only 7 frames. Still not good but he did pull out a spare in the 6th.

Hey!  Nixon's foot is over the line.  Seriously, is there anything the guy didn't cheat at?

Does Hillary want to play bball 1-on-1 with Obama, too?  Didn't think so.

Yes, but who would win at Jeopardy?

Re: So this is how it ends... (none / 0)

Yeah, 37 is pretty pathetic. I don't suspect bowling is a very popular pastime in Hawaii and Indonesia, though, not to mention Columbia, Harvard and the South Side of Chicago.

Re: So this is how it ends... (2.00 / 1)

The worst part of it had to be the white shirt and tie.  Take the tie off at least!  Did you just want to die laughing?  Here he was trying to be so "man of the people!"  Most of the "just folks" he's with wear a tie to a funeral!  It was so poorly thought out and staged that it looked exactly like what it was -- a photo op!  None of those good people were fooled for a single moment and the pictures will end up in a scrap book with a snarky caption.  Count on it ....

It's a good thing that bowling has absolutely nothing to do with the skills needed to make a great President!!

Re: So this is how it ends... (2.00 / 1)

Ha! My average was 18 over the course of a season. I don't turn my nose up at anyone. Curiously, being the almost complete teetotaler that I am, I can bowl drunk. If you can get it down me, then I can get my game up to about 120.

I can't wash dishes drunk. I can't walk drunk. But I can bowl drunk. Weird but true.

Not his game. (none / 0)

Obama should challenger her to a game of basketball: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daH0ltD20 A0  ;)

Re: So this is how it ends... (2.00 / 1)

He is out of his league on many different levels but this one takes the cake. BTW, he also stopped (or should I say quit) after 7 frames. I can't escape but notice the grand symbolism too with what is waiting for him.

But seriously, Hillary had the best comeback line:

From ThePage: She continues, to guffaws from the press:

"It's time for his campaign to get out of the gutter. For all the pins to be counted... And when this game is over the American people will know they'll have a president who's ready to bowl on day one."

Re: So this is how it ends... (none / 0)

Hilarious.  I can't bowl either - Usually between 40 and 80.

Anyway, bowling is better with beers.  Lots and lots of beers.

LOL, that's awesome. Great diary. (2.00 / 1)

That's a sad, sad score. I mean, seriously. Epic fail. Clearly, there's no way he can improve his game enough to be ready on day one.

Even John McCain lusts after teh engels.

Only if they get to play HORSE afterwards

Hooray for John McCain!

Even I did better at my first outing (none / 0)

A few weeks back. I just cannot believe that Senator Obama did so poorly. Must be sleep-deprivation.

Clinton sabotages Baracks Bowling (2.00 / 2)

This is an obvious example of more of the clinton subterfuge! The lane or the ball have been tampered with! I am not surprised to see poor BO forced into the gutter by more of billarys dirty pool...oh I mean dirty bowling...This is another example of how billary is tearing apart the dem party by making an issue of bowling.  She should get out of the game (only 7 frames...?) before the damage is irreparable...
