Double Bubble epilogue

Some news from the recount of Democratic Primary votes from decline-to-state voters in Los Angeles County who failed to fill in the bubble marked "Democratic" as the party whose primary they were voting in.

I heard on NPR this morning that the count has been completed.  About 47000 more votes were added to LA's tally by counting DTS votes in precincts in which only either Democratic party or American Independent party ballots were requested.

The tally:

Hillary Clinton gets another 23,895 votes (50.76%)
Barack Obama gets another 19,796 votes. (42.05%)
The others get about 3000 votes.

Fascinating.  What happened to Obama's big lead among independent voters?

Maybe Obama led among college-educated independents who understood the arcane instructions on how to fill out a double bubble, whereas Hillary led among working-class independent voters who were in a rush to get to work! </snark>

Re: Double Bubble epilogue (none / 0)

Thanks for the update. Not what I was expecting, but I'm glad every vote counted.
