The Immaculate Election

With the backing of Obama by Pittsburgh Steeler running back, Franco Harris, one thought burst into my head.  It was the Immaculate Reception.  I immediately saw the bond between Obama and Franco. Franco had his Immaculate Reception, that should never have happened and Obama has his Immaculate Election that should not have given him the lead because Democrats were disenfranchised in Florida, Michigan and the caucus states.

Neither should have happened and now Obama is parading around like "The Cock of the Walk."  It's incredible that his spineless supporters who could never stand up to the Republicans are now telling Hillary Clinton she should get out of the race.  What unmittigated gall they have!

Back to the Immaculates after the jump.

There were 22 seconds left in the 1972 AFC Playoff game between the Oakland Raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  The Steelers had the ball but it was 4th down.  Bradshaw escaped being tackled and threw the ball to Frenchy Fugua who was hit hard by the Raider's Jack Tatum.  The two players and the football met with a bang and the ball flew out and backwards.  With the Raider's celebrating thinking they won the 1972 AFC Championship and just before hitting the ground, Franco scooped up the football and took it in for a touchdown.  If you want to see the play it is here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnfbKKvUG 9Q

Obama has gotten to this point because of two major strategies.  First, once he saw he was losing bad to Hillary, Mr. "Let's Come Together As One" Obama would go nuclear and inject race anywhere he could.  He needed the race card and he sent out his people to microscopically analyze everything any Clinton supporter said looking to take anything out of context they could. Fortunately, Obama is a great liar and he put the job of enforcing racial correctness on the media and they all were deputized as soon as they could find a way to charge Hillary with anything because racial slurs, even if they never happened, make good news!

Now, months later, they ask poor Barack how he handles being attacked when he was the real attacker.  He's done all this to the blindness of the press and even his supporters who want him to be a lot more than he really is.

Obama gave an interview  http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/articl e?AID=/20080115/VIDEO/80115026 to the Reno Gazette Editorial Board, where he very strangely praised Ronald Reagan and he said that the Republicans were the party of ideas.  Why do you suppose sweetie pie Obama did that?  He said Reagan was what the country needed as they wanted their sense of entrepreneurship back.  In addition to saying the Republicans had all the ideas he said Kennedy had ideas too, wasn't that nice o him.  But guess who he left out?  He left out Bill Clinton who had enough ideas to rescue our asses out of default by stopping the leaks, but good ole Barack left that out.

Obama said he wasn't invested in the problems of the sixties so he has a clear head on how to fix our problems now.  What made me most angry, well maybe not as angry as the Reagan comments, was that he said that 80% of our medical costs goes to 20% of our population.  He wanted to make the kids real mad because why should they pay for those getting older.

You could not post these things on the Dailykos.  I tried over and over again.  However, in this diary at http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/20/ 92816/8647/402/439953  that I wrote about a month ago, a bunch of Obama thugs called me a liar and worse because I posted a link that died sometime that morning.  It came back later in the day.  They were foaming at the mouth with troll rating fantasies and they wanted to be a fucking gestapo.  This is what the first TU wrote: Listen for the arrogance.

Everone who rec'ed this post and this diary should be ashamed.
DailyKos is NOT a website that allows users to post lies about other Democrats. It's against the rules.
Period!
As for the lies, describing Senator Obama as a 'charlatan', posting lies about Senator Obama's tax plan and having a 'troll poll'.
There will be a cleansing here if this keeps up. You can bet on it.

And from another Obama supoorter

Sheesh.

And finally a response from this jerk.

so can we please disregard  it now

It is quite something. Obama knows how to manipulate hate.  Maybe he learned it from his mentor.  He has such a great smile and what potential but that kind of lying is dangerous and he's gotten away with it so far.  It's been immaculate as his lead has come from a confluence of events and situations that may never happen again and what he had to do to disenfranchise millions of people will come back to bite him in the ass once the Republicans get a hold of him.  They're not afraid of false racist accusations as the Democrats are and he will be exposed for what he is or at least for what he has done.

Obama knows how to manipulate hate

If anyone said that about Clinton on this site they would get attacked and banned.

But stick around and watch this diary fill with "great diary" comments. No banning too.

Yes, let the RECS flow because (none / 0)

this kind of diary would be anhilated on the DailyKos because so much of it zeroes in on Obama.

Without the BS (2.00 / 2)

I think that is what he did to win.  I don't think he is the devil or I would vote for McCain, if god forbid Obama gets the nomination.  I think his supporters are not looking deep enough and they are seeing only what they want to see.

I know Hillary has her faults and so does Bill and so did my guy Edwards but Obama, if he played it straight would be well behind.  He said it himself on Anderson Cooper.  He said he could not win a conventional campaign.  What made his campaign different was that race card crap and the caucuses and Michigan and Florida.  How can you not want that rectified?

conventional campaign (none / 0)

does not mean what you think it does.

Obama had to build an organization in every state to get where he is now. He build a HUGE, UNPRECEDENTED small donor base. He brought in volunteers by the thousands.

Thats UNconventional.

Clinton relied mostly on large donors and wining big states in 50%+1 strategy.

And that is Conventional.

Re: conventional campaign (none / 0)

But he had that organization and he was still losing.

We have to add to the Immaculate Election that John Edwards couldn't buy the attention of the press until the very end when it was too late.

Also Hillary did not start (none / 0)

talking about Florida/Michigan till like after Super Tuesday when it became obvious she did not get the win.

Where was her sense of outrage before that?

Also I find it funny the Ickles, one of her chief campaign advisors, was the guy who voted to strip Michigan and Florida of their delegates in the first place.

I don't know she had what to say (2.00 / 1)

at the time or if she did.  I believe I heard she was not happy about it.  Why would she be since Florida is one of her most natural constituencies.

Plus there is a huge difference between not complaining about the DNC actions enough and looking to close the door on all those people who want re-votes.

None of it matters.  These people should be able to vote.  This election is not an entitlement of Obama or Clinton.  They should be honored they are part of a great tradition, not try to distort it.

here is what she said (none / 0)

about Michigan:

Well, you know, It's clear, this election they're having is not going to count for anything"

Maybe she should fire her senior adviser Ickles who voted to strip the states.

Oh yea, I agree with her (none / 0)

Was the 2000 presidential election legitimate?  No!  How is this different?  We have one candidate and his DNC Chairman stooge preventing a re-vote just like Florida eliminated blacks whose names were the same as those committing misdemeanors and felonies.

My god, it is disgusting that Democrats are OK with screwing two states out of a vote.  Who the hell does this election belong to, the people or Barack Obama?

It will be a travesty without a re-vote and it will destroy our chances to take back the White House.  What will you say about this if that happens?  I hope you will hate yourself for it the same way those who voted for Nader helped destroy this country.

but if you are a believer who doesn't look at what he has done, you'll love this video because this is more camouflage for the tricks he has played and the lies he has told and the disenfranchising he has accomplished. He knocked out more people than Karl Rove did.

I don't think I called anyone a name except to say that Obama was a good liar.

Besides, even if I did, the arguements are still valid or at least worthy of debate.  The names were an outgrowth of the Obama gestapo squads.  Is that alright to say?

The Clinton supporters really endear themselves to Obama supporters with comments like these:

It's incredible that his spineless supporters who could never stand up to the Republicans are now telling Hillary Clinton she should get out of the race.
