Peter Daou gets job offer from Daily Show!

Peter Daou, the Clinton camp's online guru, has not had his genius go unnoticed.

Earlier today, Daou posted this insightful rip on the idiocy of political pundits at the Clinton campaign's blog.

Every word, genius. And he is so right: Political pundits are idiots.

And then this afternoon, we discover Daou has "sent out another e-mail" touting Hillary Clinton's chances by citing... wait for it... a pundit!

This kind of hilarity has not gone unnoticed.

I have it on good authority that Jon Stewart has just now offered Daou a job as a staff writer at The Daily Show !

I have not heard if Daou has accepted the offer, and, since calls for Clinton's withdrawal are premature, there is no indication that Clinton staffers are in the job market.

Still, what a feather in Peter's cap!

"Pundits are fools! Except when they're not!"

The man has a gift for comedy...

I just don't understand (2.00 / 2)

why you need to insult people, Bob.

It is so unlike Barack Obama.

Daou is a professional campaign worker.

And I do not support Clinton.

I'm sure the Obama email group will put this on both rec lists, but it really is juvenile in my view.

It's the only reason he breathes.

Hell's bells, even the GOP didn't have to crucify Eisenhower's record in order to make Reagan their 'saint'. We can have two great ones, you know?

Tom, have you no sense of irony? (2.00 / 3)

Pundits are fools.

Except when they're not.

In the space of eight hours.

Now that was funny.

You have a point there.

But I think he's just doing his job.

Re: Peter Daou gets job offer from Daily Show! (none / 0)

The first analysis was spot on, I found it to be very credible.  If Obama was so far ahead, and really was winning, then he should just sit back, relax, and coast to the finish line.  The real truth is that half of the democratic party is actually voting for Clinton, half for O.  The calls for her to get out of the race are because he will be showing his weakness, and she will be showing her strength.  This is why these O supporters scream that she is dividing the party, because actually he is the one doing the dividing.  Before Obama there was not a split along racial lines in this party,  now the split is pronounced complete with threats of riots.  How juvenile that is.  these personal insults the Obama campaign and his supporters have hurled Clinton's way, the blatant bias of the national press lap dogs, all these advantages and still he lost Ohio, Texas and soon Pennsylvania.

This proves that Obama does not have this locked up, that is why he continues to insult Clinton, trying to drive down her personal numbers, because he has nothing else, he certainly can't claim any experience, so what does he do?  Attack her experience, he claims such great judgment but his judgment show us something different when it comes to a spiritual adviser, his judgment shows us he thinks everyone who doesn't vote for him is a racist, at least that is the implication of his campaign.  This dangerous tactic will continue to backfire for Obama.

If he cannot get the base of the party to vote for him now, why expect those voters will vote for him this fall?  His claims on this nomination are no more valid just because he has 100 more delegates, especially if those totals don't include 2.3 million voters who have in fact voted and need to be counted.  If he wins by not counting those votes, he is not a legitimate winner.

how about these (none / 0)

"decided to run not because of some long-held ambitions......a lie from a book in which Obama knows the the supposed source of such a "long held plan" had made it clear he had never said it.

"or because I thought it was somehow owed to me"

She thinks she owes it to the country.....that's a smeat that somehow hell she's got a lot of nerve to run

"certainly I wasn't presumptuous enough to think it was my turn."

No the man runs after only 2 years in the US Senate.  Clinton was urged to run for 2004 when she would have only been in the Seante for 2 years just as Obama was...but she knew that was not right.....So whe didn't think it was her turn.  She was ready and humble enough to know that it was the right thing to do.  Not him it seems.

Honestly.  This is the kind of silly nitpicking that turns people off when it comes from the Clinton campaign.  You're dangerously close to Universal, alegre territory here, Bob.

Nah. (none / 0)

This morning, Peter Daou posts a a piece detailing how wrong pundits are.

A few hours later, he posts a piece citing pundit who is citing a second pundit on how Hillary can still win.

The irony is wonderful.

Re: Nah. (none / 0)

Who cares what Peter Daou says?  Should that make me, or anyone, more or less likely to vote for Clinton?  It doesn't.  It's echo chamber nonsense and a waste of your energies.

I like your diaries because you're good at giving good reasons to vote for Obama; this isn't one of them.

I added a tag to your diary (none / 0)

"Bob Johnson,"

I added the tag "snark" to your diary, since you did not provide any evidence to back up your claims.

Please keep honesty and integrity in mind when you post, and use that snark tag often when honesty and integrity don't matter much to you.

Thanks!

Peter Daou has a great sense of humor. (none / 0)

This morning, he points out how wrong the pundits are.

Six hours later, he cites a pundit citing a pundit for a reason why Hillary will still be the nominee.

Great stuff.

Where's your sense of humor?
