great question and framing, i await eagerly to hear the Hillary supporters choose and defend this action, they can't have it both ways. If they choose to believe the hateful repubs now for their Obama-hate then they surely must accept the same repubs assertions of the 90s about the Clintons.... if not i expect a reasoned explanation of why they didn't believe them then but choose conveniently to believe them now...

myDD and DailyKos and I came here just so I can gain perspective on the Election from Hillary's side. I did that because dKos is filled with a lot of Obama supporters (myself included).

Yesterday the Rec list contained nothing but Obama hit diaries.

No I am glad you came by and saw why Obama is damaged goods. A lot of us don't like him and will never vote for him.

I do think a lot of these people aren't Clinton supporters, but are Republicans trying to smear Obama in front of a friendly audience.  Who knows though...

There's more anti-Obama vitriol, nonsense, and outright crap posted at MyDD than there is at Redstate, LGF, freeperville, or any of the other usual suspects.

If MyDD wants to be the "pro-Hillary" site - so be it... but shouldn't there be some sort of line that shouldn't be crossed?  This site isn't "pro-Hillary" -- it's "anti-Obama"... and it's regularly citing as gospel the very same folks that just six months ago -- we would all be calling wingnuts, liars, and enemies of democracy and Democratic ideals.

There's hysteria on both sides. You're right, it gets old.

It has gone crazy. Democrats have become Rove Repugs and the Repugs have gone moonbat.

An important example is the Newsmax story going around from last year stating that Obama was "nodding his head" in the congregation while Wright made anti-American comments during one sermon.  No "fact" that appears in Newsmax only and is critical of a Democratic candidate should be taken as true.

On the other hand, I think the energetic reaction to the Wright controversy in the conservative media/blogosphere is not to be ignored.  This is the first time during our primary process that I have seen the right really snap to attention.  Prior to this, nothing has even threatened to energize them, so far as I can tell.  

I agree, it is vile to rely on unverified facts.

If anyone actually thinks that all the hate that is being generated in this campaign is good for one candidate or another, they will be rudely awakened in November.

BOTH (zeal-ridden) factions of the debate have been behaving like idiots.  When attempting to approach the nomination as a function of logic and math, I have been excoriated and attacked by the shrill HRC-crowd...and I have seen moderate HRC-supporters who call for calm and patience be ridiculed and treated boorishly as well.

I personally beleive that the moderators/owners of this site truly ought to be more active in keeping the tone here civil and limited to issues, rather than personal attacks, innuendo, and divisiveness.  If the point of a post or diary is to point out Wright or Vince Foster... your post or Diary ought not to be allowed.  

Free speech is fine, but we are killing our chances in November by allowing ourselves to be divided by zealots and trolls. I am certain that if we could keep the anger, frustration, and egos out of it...we would undoubtedly unite behind a single candidate....which is of course probably WHY these injections of vitriol and crap occurs in the first place.
