Hillary's Achilles Heel Sound Judgement and Spitzer

George W announced Mission accomplished and Hillary thought it would be all over by Super Tuesday. This is clearly arrogance in action and it continues when you look at what will happen April 15th when the tax returns come out. Former Govenor Spitzer believed he was untouchable and I believe that Senator Hillary Clinton has walked into the same trap. There is a reason why they have been stalling on this and it's clear they have something to hide. I hope I'm wrong because Senator Clinton would make a great president or Vice President. (I would prefer Obama) I believe her people have let her down by giving her poor advice and leaving her out of the loop at times but having said this she is supposed to be "Commander in Chief" To add to this the "race card" is part of the strategy, just ask the "blind" Ms Farraro.
Politically it is a great strategy but it's wrong and again I think Hillary's management has taken her down the wrong path.

We need to see the real Hillary who found and then lost her voice. Her life story is absolutely inspiring but we never hear about it. We only hear about Bill and again I think he and Hillary's team will be the political death of her. Hillary should start doing it her way.

judgment on iraq or her health care reform commission (et al), but i don't think you can hang eliot spitzer on her.  spitzer had a better organization than hillary in 2006 (and it showed when he beat her in the number of votes he won), and i don't think she had strong enough ties to the democratic party in new york to have stopped spitzer if she had wanted to...

Re: Hillary's Achilles Heel Sound Judgement (2.00 / 1)

Huh?

Dude - I can take your post and write the same thing about Obama:

George W announced Mission accomplished and Obama thought it would be all over after Ohio and Texas. This is clearly arrogance in action and it continues when you look at what will happen over the following weeks as the Rezko trial progresses. Former Govenor Spitzer believed he was untouchable and I believe that Senator Barack Obama has walked into the same trap. There is a reason why they have been not willing or able to answer all questions on this and it's clear they have something to hide. I hope I'm wrong because Senator Obama would make a great president or Vice President. (I would prefer Clinton [Ed note: I have no preference-just proving a point]) I believe his people have let him down by giving him poor advice and leaving him out of the loop at times but having said this he is supposed to be "Commander in Chief" To add to this the "okey-doke" is part of the strategy, just ask the "academic" Ms "Powers" or Mr "Goolsbee".
Politically it is a great strategy but it's wrong and again I think Obama's management has taken him down the wrong path.

We need to see the real Obama who found and then lost his momentum. His life story is absolutely inspiring but we never hear about anything else. We only hear about Michelle, Samantha Power and Austan Goolsbee and again I think they and they rest of Obama's team will be the political death of him. Obama should start doing it her way.

There's just as much connection between Hillary and Spitzer's prostitution scandal as there is between Obama and this same scandal - i.e., none.

She lost one super delegate. That's it.

Re: Hillary's Achilles Heel Sound Judgement (none / 0)

You are right you could and you did write the same thing. I enjoyed reading it. Having said that Obama and his team predicted it would go well past Texas. We know this because the media got their hands on Obama's predictions for each state as I'm sure you know. Obama in my opinion has been more consistent in comparison to Senator Clinton who just found her voice a while back.
From a delegate point of view he did win Texas.
He has won more states and has more pledged delegates so I would say he is getting good advice
compared to Hillary who was shocked to find out she was running out of money. So how is he losing momentum? He just won two more states and he will lose some according to his own calculations. Like Spitzer Hilary thought she was untouchable and would have everything sewn up by Feb 5th. April 15th with Senator Clinton's financial records coming out may prove my point that she has received bad advice and that she isn't untouchable.

Re: Momentum - check the latest PA polls.

Re: Consistency - Obama is on the wrong side of the argument regarding FLA and MI re-voting. His proposed "50/50 split" directly conflicts with his rhetoric to date of "letting the people's voice be heard".

Re: hubris - listen/watch to Obama's "concession" speech in TX. It definitely sounded to me like he thought he would have the nom sewn up at that point.

Glad you enjoyed reading my "mad libs" of your post :-) I don't have a dog in this hunt, but both sides have gotten a little...well...let's just say sometimes you need wading boots to get through the "My Candidate Good The Other Candidate Evil" rhetoric that seems to have supplanted any discussion of policy positions or issues these days.

Re: Fall Achilles Disaster (none / 0)

What about Obama's? Some very serious issues too.

ZERO economic or foreign experience.

The thinnest  resume  of ANY Presidential candidate in modern U.S. history.

A 2 year "Community Organizer" with questionable youth experimentation with heavy drugs , Against a 30 year record of public service, solid Foreign polcy experience, and Heroism serving the country at war in John McCAin.
( any non-partisan voter would have an very easy time making a choice during a time of serious, economic, domestic  & foreign crisis in america today).

No record of religious or church background prior to 1992 & will be exposed with new allegations courtesy of republican swiftboating in November.
First 30 years of his life is being examined very closed by GOP right wingers as we speak.

A Muslim sounding name trying to be President while the country is at WAR with TWO Muslim Countries & is about to start with another Muslim country very soon.

Receiving a dismal average of 25% - 35% of White democratic primary voters  across the nation. ( Which amounts to 15%-20% of the Entire white voters in the General election. A potential disaster in the Fall.)

Losing massively by almost 4 to 1 among his own party block of white Reagan democrats. The same 11 million white working class democrats who have NO ISSUES crossing party lines & voting Republican when needed.

Re: Fall Achilles Disaster (none / 0)

Yes George W Bush's resume is much thicker and getting thicker by the day. A Muslim sounding name. To the uneducated this may scare people but this is Gearldine Farraro all over again. Fear and race can be so effective but I don't think it will work this time. President Bush and his administration have been using that too much.

Every Country needs a leader. A leader who will inspire. Obama is inspiring Americans and many other nationalities. Do I wish he had more experience? yes!!! But having said this give me someone who can lead and inspire. How many people can do this. How many Presidents can we say this about. My point is a thick resume isn't everything. He can choose the most experienced people he wants like Cheney and Rumsfeld and the experienced generals that came up with this Trillion dollar war.  Once Obama starts debating McCain we will see what's really important to us. McCain isn't even accepted by his own party so how can he accomplish anything? Remember Bomb Bomb
Iran???Experienced McCain thinks that's funny.
